And awwwww...she is his missing piece of light sunshine....perhaps thats why her name is Rey, huh @Lady Rey?

 

Haha I think she chose that name from the helmet she wore on Jakku, but it does fit nicely with everything about Rey.

Kylo Ren though... man I just know he's going to go through a terrible time in this movie!

 

He kinda has to....he has been a prickle....

 

That team-up with Rey is looking more likely too it seems, but it could be something else. Still hard to say.

 

Well I was right about the poster. Rey is going to save one of the Skywalker's. Let's see if Ren is too far gone for her to save him too.

 

This trilogy is breaking my ! It's going a path i can't follow!

 

Looking more closely at the pics, I think Rey is possibly fighting the Executioners about to likely kill Finn and Rose. That leaves Ren to fight Snoke's guards.

Speaking of which. My main objection with him was always that he never really trully knew the dark side. Only flirted with it...was only tempted by it but never gave into it. You cant understand something unless you succumb to it and then find a way to overcome it and return from it. It is possible to return from it. Vader did. I would so very much see Luke do the same. Only then can he trully master the Force. If he masters all the ways of it.
Then pass that on to Kylo and Rey. Found a new school. Complete lightness of charachter is an illusion.

 

This is so amusing and so wrong at the same time based on how it's grouped in with Rey's friends lol:

Yes. Why do you think i like to play quote on quote game...they are so applicable to any life situation. I particularly like c3p0's. They can be manipulated ad infinitum.

 

Kylo is a murderer, that's why it's so wrong how they worded that. It's like saying "Rey makes all kinds of friends, even murderers like Kylo Ren!" That kind of wording bugs me and feels sloppy and put together in a lazy manner.

 

They are all killers. Even her. She shoots quite well.

But yes...kylo killing lst is for me his biggest crime. Still nothing as bad as Vader did with the younglings. But...i want to know more about lst...

 

Kylo is going to be some majorly kept secret it seems. Except for a pic of him nearly crying, talk of him not being the Chosen One and that he is fascinated by Rey, the marketing is going to mainly focus on Luke and Rey... for now at least.

 

For now. Sorry...but nor Luke nor Rey are the main charachter I think. SW is no musical fairytale made for girls. It is mainly boy's club. And boys...like men...as their heroes...men like captain america. Or marvel series movies. Or batman. Best she...a newb with not much career befor sw...can expect considering a woman is at the helm of the creative team is equality.
Which i...applaud as ground-breaking in the franchise such as sw is.

 

Rey is the role model for little girls and Daisy herself said she wants to play Rey in a way that is good for that role she's been placed in by parents and children. Ben though, is not a good role model in any way for boys. How that'll twist into him being the Skywalker we all focus on beats me, because though I love Rey as the heroine, I feel Ben is slowly being pushed out by Disney.

 

Not impossible. But far fetched. Main target audience for sw is NOT little girls. And no little boy will ever play with rey doll. Big boys would...play with rey dolls...but not rey toys. Not even if she was a Reywalker. I think they want boys and men on board. But also little girls and women so they will make Rey important. Just not...the most important.

But hey...i may be too cynical of the ways of our world. However...I will tell you this...as a woman. I would not watch sw without strong male charachters. If they made a female main charachter of sw so they can make up for lack of it in the past or compensate for women's still in many ways unequal position in society, I would consider it some postmodern feminist bull and would not watch it for the thought of being a condescending utopistic conjecture unfounded in reality. Equality is what we as a society should aim for. In real life and fantasy alike. In my opinion.

 

As a woman, I am more for seeing Ben take the lead with Rey at his side or together as equals, or even as enemies that become friends, but if it's another good must destroy evil, I will be disappointed. They said this movie is gray, so I expect to see gray unless it was only PR speak.
