Yeah, I thought Finn could have at least tried to roll away from TR-8R's final attack! The fact remains that protagonists can't be all-powerful in a story or the audience won't relate and the antagonists would have no weaknesses to exploit.
Yeah, definitely something special there. My initial reading was that during that Force connection Kylo initiated during the interrogation, information went both ways - perhaps due to her unusually high Force sensitivity and her aptness for intuition and self-education.

    Eh didnt hurt Rey...

I still dont know what JJ, LK and KK were thinking....you got Phasma right there. And we are making Finn lose to TR-8R.

I was thinking of grunt more like "pawn," like a low level type.

They probably knew Finn, Chewie, and Han were going to humiliate her later in the film and didn't want to hit her with a double whammy of patheticness.

Its different because Finn and Kylo at least had other examples in the movie of not being terrible. Phasma really only stood there until the embarrassing Starkiller base scene.

It's not out of place at all. Finn is a jabroni for Rey, once you realise that everything fits.

a better translation "We talked about it. But no, I don't think we'll see that in this one" Don't think finn poe will be a thing. I know RJ thinks its great but it would be hard to sell that move in a major franchise like starwars. also male homo sexuality is a big no no in china and russia (number 2 and 3 movie markets)

Hoth is years later and he struggled with it, plus he learned it from kenobis journal.

the trooper was one from finn's unit. he always struggled to beat him in the hand to hand training cause he was bigger and stronger.

bingo. in 7 that was his job set up rey. now we are on to 8 finn doesn't need to do that for rey so maybe we will see something out of him.

Lets talk about this john seems shocked by the line and the concept. RJ said they don't tell everyone everything but you think the jedi ending would be an over arcing thing you couldn't escape. so what does this mean for the possibilities of a FS finn if boyega is being kept out of the loop on lukes side of the story.

I'm glad, Finn doesn't need the force or lightsabre whirling.

Luke outmaneuvered the best pilot and force user in the galaxy with ZERO training. So...there's that.

    Have you??

Luke beat Vader at every turn. Who was strong in the force and a way better pilot. Luke had no training as a pilot or in the Force

Except Vader would have lit Luke Up if Han had not shown up and saved Luke's behind.

And you know Luke had actual flight experience not just simulator experience and was flying a ship that doesn't need a co-pilot.

Rey: "I've flown many ships before but never off planet". :)
    Luke: flew his T16.

    :)

You people claim we haven't see A New Hope. We've seen it but you people only watched it.

Luke destroyed the deathstar on his first try, Rey defeated Kylo on her second.

    Luke is Gary Stew. :)

    Luke flew down a trench.

Rey flew through the belly of a Super Star Destroyer with ease

    ......

You have a point if Luke didnt spend his time before that being a fuckup.
Unlike Rey who was a perfect untouchable Sue for the most part.
