Not really. Luke wasn't about fighting excluding the light saber throw away.

In ANH he was itching for adventure and got more than he bargained for with Obi Wan telling him about his father and the force.

ESB and ROTJ was never about fighting. I don't get this thing about that's what Luke was about cause it wasn't. Yeah he helped take down AT-AT then he almost got killed. We must've seen two different Lukes.

Sure he wanted to save his friends but who wouldn't, they in return saved him alot.

I'm the grand scheme of things he is more of a pacifist. So him in exile doesn't make him less of a Jedi. He's not the Savior or only person guided by the force in the galaxy.

Luke aint perfect and never was. He failed quite often which makes him human. And someone I can relate to

100% pacifist Luke - that's a new concept to me! Intriguing. I guess I've never seen Luke as a pacifist but someone who develops into a character who displays wisdom through cautious and selective use of Force. I think love isn't pacifist (I always think of mothers defending their young) and the Skywalker arcs have (so far) ended in allowing love to inspire the destruction of antagonists.

Although I try to be cautious about getting attached to ideal narratives or placing limitations on the writers, I can't help expecting something special when I see Luke display his Force use after so many years. I wouldnt put it past good writing to successfully have him displaying strong abilities, new powers, and igniting The Green in creative and original ways that don't ncessarily involve directly inflicting violent retribution.

Imaginative writing and compelling art direction could make such a scene spectacular, effective and have it fit within the scope of his character arc. After all, his introduction to Force power was his mentor displaying Force use to evade conflict. Of course this mentor later used deception to try and groom him into assassinating his father unawares, but ultimately it stimulated Luke to contemplate and question where a Jedi Knight stands in relation to the use of Force.

 

He's definitely not 100%. But this is no difference between ESB and ROTJ, and ROTJ and TFA except a few things. Leia and Han had a kid, Luke was training Jedi, then disappeared.

Between ESB and ROTJ why didn't he fight? He was training and didn't get involved until trying to help Han

 

How does Luke open the Jedi temple? In the new canon Kanaan and Ezra opened the temple (then the two inquisitors) and Maul and Ezra the Sith temple. So how does Luke do it solo?

so there's on-site set details... something someone may have caught a glimpse of and leaked.
then there is force vision details - something that's put together with other scenes and a lot of post-production.

i get the rock thing.. that stuff will tend to leak, but stuff that Luke's having a vision about whilst on the rock? yeah ok lol

can't do both.

I'd like to see the aliens present at the casino to go silent at Luke's arrival, before he makes his way through they start to make way before he ends up a table Rey following close behind.
