    Luke went on a mission with Poe's mom in Shattered Empire.

    Poe joined the Resistance when Luke was already missing in Before The Awakening.

    He could be aware in VIII.

    Question: in the picture with Daisy, you see a ring on Poe's necklace.
    What do you think it is?
    At first I've thought it could be Shara's wedding ring.
    But what if that of his father? Could it be that Kes... dies in TLJ?
    Or what if that is Poe's wedding ring? Maybe did he have a wife?
    I'm just wondering if by chance "the character being immensely tested"
    it's not reffered only to what happens with the F.O. etc...
    but to something more "personal" too.
    Your thoughts?

    I don't know, while he appears to be partially in costume, Daisy is in her own clothes. That could be Oscar's personal jewelry. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    If we go back to Yavin, we could hear Kes being mentioned but I can't see them going too far into Poe's background. I feel his relationship to Leia might be the personal relationship they explore. As for wife, I don't think so - Poe Dameron comic is happening very close to TFA and I feel they would explored that if true. The next issue will show us
    L'ulo's funeral
    , so considering Dameron family's relationship with him, we might learn more.

    That could be interesting....
    It makes sense. I agree the other possibilities I mentioned (except perhaps that of Shara) are too complicated to be explored in the next movie.
    That's why I asked for any other idea. Yours it's definitely a good one. ;)
