I think it's a safe assumption that Luke trains Rey in episode VIII in the Skellig Island location, even safer that some of the rumors about TFA

I think it's the necklace Anakin gave to Padme in the PT

 

Not now. But what if she had one before? When she was a little girl.
I think this might be a clue that the Resistance has found the "light saber" they've been looking for.

She was buried with that one. Unless Vader pulled a Wuthering Heights and dug her up again.

Of course, we don't know that she was buried. Maybe this is like Vader's melted helmet, dug out of the flames. But I'd have expected Leia to have it in that case.

Someone else brought up that padme had her necklace buried with her

 

So did Darth Vader mask, nothing is safe in Star Wars this relics collectors are thirsty, also i just looked at a picture of her funeral and didn't see the necklace

I think that this is a necklace that Rey was given as a little girl, not necessarily Padme's. But something that was uniquely hers. We have evidence that Poe has been down on Jakku longer than just one night, picking up the "light saber"- there was a toy I found that was his speeder bike made for "reconnaissance missions in harsh desert climates." I think he's been looking for her, and this proves he's found her, or at least that she's in the area.

 

it's true, it's in her hand, unless someone took it before the last second, but the shape and the inscriptions on it are so similar, maybe it's something from Anakin's region where he was born, and it's something that symbolize his heritage

who knew about the Padme and Anakin necklace besides them?
what point would it be to give it to Poe if it was?
unless he wanted Leia to have it?
But then what point to the story would that serve?
Doesn't make sense for it to be Padme's necklace at all!

 

Yes, it's probably just Rey's. There has been speculation that Lor San Tekka is an artifact collector, and knowing this, Poe would have told him to keep an eye out for anything Rey had with her when she disappeared. Maybe Rey had to sell it to him to survive, I don't know. But it looks like Lor San Tekka called Poe in to give him the necklace.

 

But why is he looking for her? unless if she is someone important daughter's/niece

REY is a freaking SOLO.....

In the third trailer where they show REY mostly taking up the screen in the falcon, they play HAN & LEIA'S music...

Third trailer around 1:14... is the music.

I am more convinced even more since seeing that first photo cast group.

 

@NiceTanoYou pointed out on the Poe & Jakku thread that the object still could still be a lightsaber, seen on end. Although it would be a weird angle, and require the addition & removal of a cord, anything is possible with photoshop. Plus, we do know they find Luke's lightsaber at some point, but for all we know Maz has had it all along.

However, they also call it a "message". To me that's even more important than it being a belonging of Rey's (which, actually, the lightsaber still could be since rumor has it that it disappeared at the same time & place she did). I just don't think that people are torching villages, killing peasants, torturing pilots, strafing a trade post and searching the desert just for a lightsaber. I think they are after a person- Rey.

I think everyone finds out she's there, and they all converge on Jakku, trying to get to her before someone else does.

 

That is confirmed if the chronology of that scene where Finn is fighting a stormtrooper with a force pike is correct, we see a figure in the background that clearly resembles Kylo, he sees the lightsaber that he have been looking the entire movie, and then say MEH i go to this forest right here, find this random girl so i can ask if she is just a scavenger.

I'm start to think Rey is the Mccguffin

 

Do we know for sure Luke even trains anyone?

This could still all be leading us down a path that we have no idea about.

I still think after all the leaks, trailer, tv spots, childrens books, etc.

Rey = Slywalker (Luke's Daughter)
Finn = A Force Sensitve Stormtrooper
Kylo = Leia's and Han's son (Han was to busy and smuggling still to care about)
Poe = the best pilot in the galaxy

It seems like he finds out from Poe that this girl is significant. How could Poe know that? Maybehe's been surveilling her for quite some time... there is that speeder bike he's been using for reconnaissance....
