The last photo "proves" that Rey is related to EVERYBODY and anybody who has ever posed for a photo with a lightsaber, but come on we all know the truth - she is mostly related to Obi-Wan!

There are just so many ways in which to strike a pose with a lightsaber.

P.S. In case it's not clear, I'm being sarcastic.

I don't know what happened at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, but I guess I shouldn't talk about it... Jedi are way dirtier han I imagined.

 

Well, I wouldn't say Obi-Wan is necessarily dirty, his clothes are just a bit tattered and sort of like that of a lonely poor scavenger living in the desert...

"Rey you sexy!" I'm surprised they retained a lot of elements from the Jakku outfit and made her hair a bit more 'samurai wild'. Finn is still wearing that jacket: epic! Poe? Still a bad-ass!

Furthermore, thought it might sound outlandish as a piece of evidence, I think it's worthy of pointing out: the position of Rey's "scar" is almost literally a mirror of Anakin's from RotS, being on the opposite eyebrow and in almost the exact same location (at the "bend" of the brow, for want of a better term). Huh.

 

For what it is worth, Kylo got the true "Anakin" scar in TFA...

 

haha, yep. He was pretty beat up after that one...(I assume you're referring to Anakin getting sliced up and burned alive, right? Those scars?)

...I feel this further pushes their idea of a connection between the similarities, and differences, of Rey and Ben, though. Both scarred - literally and mentally, now - and the latter believes that he is the rightful heir to the galaxy, whereas the former sees herself as a nobody with no particular future in mind.

 

Technically, I was talking about this one...




Although Kylo's is admittedly worse. Location is roughly the same...



Definitely a throw back to Anakin though...

Oh, well that one I'm inclined to disagree with. There's no overlap at all between the scars, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was supposed to come off as a mirror of Anakin's scarred history, but whether or not it was, I think, lies deeper in the trilogy.

What I was referring to is the fact that both Rey's and Anakin's (if that is indeed a scar on Rey, anyhow) are mirrored and are almost virtually on the same part of the brow (on the outward "bend").

 

Fair enough... I would just say that such a mirror image (if in fact that is what is intended) just suggests that Rey is the Anti-Anakin, so perhaps she is the true Chosen One? Meanwhile, I have always said that Kylo Ben is the Anti-Luke... meaning that he is what Luke would have become had he killed his own father, as arguably his mentors sent him to do.

In all of this, I just find further justification of my belief that Rey and Kylo are the dual legacy of Darth Vader expressed through his grandchildren...

 

That seems not as good as I first thought it looked. Not only we can see some scar tissue over it (the same region of her forehead on the left side looks quite different,) but also the cut was at first quite long - it almost reached her hairline. I had three deep cuts on my head, two of them on my forehead and such a bruise doesn't come from nowhere. A lightsaber is definitely a possibility here.
