Official Rey Episode VIII thread

I think the films will mostly be sticking with traditional colours, but I really want Rey to make use of her staff skills.
Therefore I want a double-bladed blue saber... though just sticking with the Skywalker saber is also extremely possible.

 

Red/Blue Double-Bladed LIGHTSABER that was recycled from VII .

 

She will keep Luke/Anakin's saber even though she doesn't really want it. Cause Luke already called dibs on the green one.

I'd be willing to put money on her using the blue. Luke made a green light saber for a reason (I'm assuming).

I'd be open minded to a knight of Ren using double bladed... but meh... been there, done that, you know?

 

It would be sweet to see her with a green double bladed saber or two single bladed lightsabers!

I think Rey will only keep the Skywalker saber if she is a Skywalker. Then the blue saber could be a family heirloom of sorts.
I would still like to see her craft her own lightsaber though. Building a lightsaber has never been shown in the movies (except for that one deleted scene in ROTJ).

Because of her obvious experience with a staff, it would seem a little odd for her to abandon these skills and move to a single bladed sword-type weapon. With this in mind, it only makes sense for her to use either a staff saber (like EU Plagueis) or a double-bladed.

I would personally like the double bladed lightsaber to be a Maul-only thing, so I'm hoping she makes her own.

 

I personally think she'll go down the double-bladed route, but probably train with a combination of her staff and Anakin's Skywalker. If she's going to become a Jedi, and at this point I think it's pretty obvious she will, part of that is constructing her own saber. I surmise that she'll have a double-bladed saber by the beginning of IX at the latest.

 

She'll turn the staff into a double-sided lightsaber.
Building a lightsaber is part of becoming a Jedi. It doesn't necessarily have to be done at the end.

Also I hope it is yellow (like Bastillas) but I know it won't be.

 

I doubt they will use any other colors Han Blue/red/green .

 

I hope she makes her own lightsaber . There's too much bad Karma with that blue Skywalker saber.
A lot of people expect the double blade like Maul's is a given but I'm not so sure. I think Daisy Ridley would have to do some pretty intensive training to stand up against Ray Parks exceptional martial arts skills.
I'd like to see a white lightsaber or pink nunchuck sabers

 

She apparently already underwent some pretty vigorous training in stick-fighting, and her stunt double is really good at it to. So it'd be a shame to just ditch all of that after one film. And especially since, in her duel with Kylo, she's using the lightsaber more like a staff anyway.

Plus, constructing your own lightsaber is a "rite of passage" for potential Jedi, so Rey should do so as well (although they may save that for Episode IX).

I'd be fine with a double-bladed one, Bastilla and Satele-style. Or perhaps a more Pike-like lightsaber. As for the color, I have a suspicion that this trilogy will be able balancing the light and the dark within one's self. So her having a red and blue bladed one, like was originally conceived for TFA, could fit that idea symbolically. Or perhaps a white one, symbolizing neutrality/balance.

 

Single bladed saber pike staff would fit her style.

 

A darth maul kind of lightsaber but blue, its safe but different take on that saber, besides i think she could rock it!!

The other posibility i would love is a Ashoka Tano kinda lightsaber style with two lightsaber one on each hand, they will probably be blue

I believe that for the first part she will use the old Anakin/Luke lightsaber to later move on complete her training and maybe at the end of VIII beggining of IX use her own saber

OH or could you imagine Luke using the GREEN AND BLUE LIGHTSABERS AT THE SAME TIME?

and her using the maul style one against kylo at THE SAME TIME it would be the ultimate lightsaber fangasm hahaha
