Would Rey be jealous when she see Finn with Rose in the Last Jedi? ​

She's obviously pretty skilled with the staff. There's no reason she wouldn't still take advantage of that skill set. Maybe it has some symbolic meaning for her character, too: for example, for better or worse, that she's still attached to her life on Jakku - the only life she's ever known except for a dimly remembered early childhood.

 

Inevitably she's going to have a staff-based lightsaber, but just like everything else LFL has done so far, this trilogy will follow the pattern set by the OT and give the main character a new lightsaber in movie 3. Until then, Rey's gonna carry around the skywalkersaber.

 

I think it would be pretty awesome if Rey was in a LS fight with one opponent, and another opponent joined in and mid fight she ignited the other end of the light saber and wielded a double sided blue saber (a la Darth Maul). I honestly don't want to see a spear type light saber unless she gets to do some really unique fighting techniques with it. I don't want the characters getting exotic looking weapons for marketing purposes that don't have a practical application in the movie. She's already handy with a staff, giving her a double sided light saber isn't too much of a leap and she'd be the first Jedi in an Episodic movie to be seen using one.

Also should we make anything of the color scheme of Rey's outfit? Have we seen those color combinations together before anywhere else in the GFFA?

 

The only FS I can think of is Ahsoka Tano in Rebels.

 

The problem with the 2nd blade being a surprise is the length of the handle. A 2nd blade out of a standard lightsaber is a hinderence.

From what we've seen if looks like Rey will just use Anakin/Lukes lightsaber.

 

The handle would have to be longer agreed, but maybe with a bunch of other stuff going on and a combination of camera angles we don't notice it. I didn't notice it that much until the end with Darth Maul when he fought Qui Gon in the desert, but of course from the promos we already knew it was double sided

 

It could be, more made it happened during with Luke.

Yes, I find somewhat unexpected they are releasing those second-hand but official insights, like these interviews in such intensity.
But on the other hand there is jet no second trailer.

Seeing all the images of Rey with the Skywalker lightsaber (or Reys lightsaber as they are calling it) i just can't help but feel that it doesn't really suit her. I can't quite work out why i feel this way, perhaps its because i associate her more with her staff (which fits her perfectly imho), i would definitely like to see her with a new lightsaber that fits with her character better.

 

Maybe that scratch on her shoulder could be the cause of her trying to retrieve it leading to it's destruction.
