Official Rey Episode VIII thread

Luke is 4giving. Rey isn't. Neither is Kylo. Also Revan & Bastila had a relationship b4 he turned.

 

Carrie Fisher in August 2016 after the shooting of Episode 8:

"Rey is very forgiving" and just after she talks about Kylo...

So who is right ? Carrie Fisher who read the screenplay of Episode 8 or you ?

Wait for Episode 8 and 9, it's like saying in 1977 after the release Episode 4 "Luke hates Vader and he will kill him", Spoiler: Rey and Kylo will become partner to destroy Snoke and bring balance to the Force.



Star Wars is not about hate and vengeance, it's about love, compassion and forgiveness.

 

That's all well and good--but its leading to a moral dilemma for EP9...where Rey is forced to choose in attempting to redeem Kylo, and risk suffering the fate of Han Solo, or seek and destroy Ren for the greater good of the galaxy.

Rian Johnson: “I can’t tell you [what in particular surprised Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley in the script] because then it wouldn’t be a surprise, but it was very gratifying for me that Mark and Daisy and the whole rest of the cast when they read it they were very shocked by some of the things that happen in the script because they are kind of the first audience that we have for the story and they know the characters better than anybody. There are things I think will really shock the audience but you never want it to just be an empty surprise for the sake of it being a surprise. WOW!!!! Especially that last quote. He is biting off A LOT with that one. I do pray that whatever happens lives up to it.

 

In the actual video he's not really serious when he's saying it. After his comment the translator and then the audience burst into laughter, so take it with a pinch of salt.
