SPECULATION OFFICIAL: THE FIRST ORDER DISCUSSION THREAD

If the Rebels "Won" at Endor and the Empire "Fell" then it makes sense that there is Resistance and First Order. The Empire, as shown via upcoming book synopsis, is split into people attempting to take rule and governors gaining power. One of those Imperial groups, likely outshining the others and gaining power, could be the First Order. If the Republic is restored somewhat then you don't really HAVE "Rebels" anymore and you in turn create a "Resistance" fighter corp to maintain peace against oppression. You may not LIKE the "name change" but it makes perfect sense to me.

 

Got a gut feeling this is spot on. Kylo playing them, or believing he's playing them while Uber is just using him to get to someone else (Rey/Finn)

 

Imagine a Skywalker serving the "Empire" based on his moral convictions. Kind like Anakin becoming a Sith because he thinks it will bring peace and order to the galaxy. Or maybe as a sign of good faith, they sent him to join the "empire" to maintain the peace.

That does look like an captain/admiral. Also if Kylo or Uber is the leader, they wouldn't necessarily have to be the one giving the troops orders. Also Gleeson could be made to look older than he is to lead the troops.

 

I just can't believe that figure on the stage would be anyone other than Gleeson's General, if MSW is made to be believed, because I don't see "Uber" being this out in the open from what we have seen/heard.

Agreed. Uber is behind the scenes pulling the strings I bet.

 

I tried to convince people this in the other thread, but didn't really get a response (so I assume people disagree). But I'll try again because I'm a pain in the ass.


Does that not look like Sydow's head (in a hood)? I'm not saying he's alien either. It could just be the lighting.

If from what we've heard, Sydow has been watching after Kira Rey, then this whole scene might make some sense.


Leia sent Poe on a mission - not exactly sure about what. But Poe, Finn, and Kira end up together with this lightsaber. Poe might know what the significance of this lightsaber is and calls Leia to come to the planet where Kira, Rose, and Sydow's character live. This could be Sydow and Kira's house on Jaku.

 

I guess my problem is that I really want Gleeson to be a good guy. You may be right.

Besides that's Leia getting the saber from "Rose." As for what you circled, It looks like a photograph almost.

 

I think that could be a person/alien. But it's too hard to tell who or what it is.

Not necessarily. What I was getting at is if that was Sydow, then he is NOT leading the first order in the other pic.

 

I think it's very interesting that we've seen NOTHING about his character. Also, we haven't seen C3P0 at all... some say that the Gleeson character and C3P0 character are together. Some say that he stays with Leia because he's a protocol droid.

What if Gleeson is just the Trooper buddy of Finn and dies in the first 20 minutes of the film.

 

Yes, I see where you are seeing that, but look to the right (our right as viewers) of that head. That looks like a very womanly shoulder. I see that figure as a woman with a hair wrap or long hair behind them. Sydow I think ... isn't here... at this point. I don't think he is the leader of the First Order either.

 

I don't think anyone really thinks Sydow is the leader of the First Order. Uber is or someone else is. Sydow is on Jakku watching over Rey. (Supposedly)

 

Right. Sydow is the "Vicar" or something on Jakku.
