Wow. A few things that came to mind when I saw this:
[IMG]I noticed this, too. The sun is definitely partially eclipsed by two other spherical bodies... likely moons, but what if one is the Starkiller Base?

Everyone is taking the "I know all about waiting... for my family" lines as linear, but it seems pretty clear to me that they are two different lines in different contexts that have been spliced together. They just have different voice inflections and tones that seem to be uttered in different environments. Just my take on them.

Finally, Han Solo's line is slightly different from the US version, as he explicitly mentions the Force: "The Force... its true, all of it." In the US version, it is: "There were stories..." "It's true... all of it... The dark side... the [a] Jedi." The meaning is generally the same, but the addition of "The Force" at the beginning just cements the idea for me that the old skeptical smuggler has come around to believe in the "ancient weapons and hokey religions."

Anyway, this was all beautiful! I just don't see how anyone can be negative toward anything we have seen thus far. It is all just blowing me away. And if Daniel Fleetwood loved it, that will probably be a good enough review for me!

That is all I want to see from a start - Luke giving him some wisdom with added ass kicking. :D

If Rey is Luke's kid, I am really hoping the mother is still alive. The last thing this series needs is another virtually ignored mother figure.

I came to this conclusion on my very own about ten days ago. It fits all the facts, without any leftover or spurious parts.

But we'll see. I have no ego so if I'm wrong, I'll be the first to admit it.

Poe protecting Rey makes so much more sense than him risking capture and torture for a lightsaber. I mean, the way alone he stands next to Leia...
It just feels right, ya know?

It's true....Luke gave birth to this woman's Force Child. then went in hiding because Kylo represent the Dept. of Children and Families and wants those support credits.

Well, considering the franchise is now owned by Disney, who seems to have a fetish for the 'dead/missing mother' trope...

That boy does need his ass kicked. He's an embarassment to his momma.
And he makes her very, very sad.

I think TFA is in danger of being PRETTY BLASTED AWESOME!! If this somehow turns out to be blast, I'm going to cry so hard.

So, TechWizards, get to it please and edit up a new everything-included TFA super trailer! Pretty please, with blue milk on top? :D

    PS: Also, awesome music!

    I agree with that sentiment.

I believe that Rey is Luke's kid, mostly because I'm not comfortable with any of the theoretical justification for why Leia and Han have left her there.

Luke on the other hand would have a few more theoretically justifiable reasons for having a loner child out in the middle of nowhere.

But I'm also weary of the mother popping up in EP8 or EP9 with some big revelation. I feel like I've seen that a lot recently on S.H.I.E.L.D and in How to Train Your Dragon 2. Better for the ST to rhyme with the OT, and never see the mother outside of some expanded universe novels, than to see her in these films with underwhelming results.

No she is not one to mislead. i caught wind of the Hobbit films moving from 2 films to a full trilogy 2 weeks before it was publically announced. I very much trust her! i absolutely hope you revisit this info post release, yes.

In this case it may not be a trope. If Luke returns to the Jedi fold, it would fit best with his being single or widowed. Jedi can't be married. Having the Force awaken might not might not just refer to Finn or Rey. JJ and Kasdan have better things to do than more retconning to change the tenets of the Jedi order, I think.

Rey could be Luke's daughter, or could be Han and Leia's. The simplest explanation would be the latter, but if it's the former, the story has got to be streamlined as much as possible. The ST isn't about the past!

There are so many new characters and new plot lines, weaving a complicated history for Rey just seems unnecessary and wasteful of screeen time, to me.

I like the theory of Rey being Luke's kid. I agree that it doesnt make sense why Han and Leia leave their kid on Jakku. Luke was placed in isolation to keep him hidden from the empire. I think similar Rey would fit this role.

    Funny you mentioned the SCORE

they guy that is making the music for the trailer. Who is this guy? Are they headlining him to take over for Williams moving forward due to his heath?

    Just curious

perhaps he was worried that she could fall to the darkside.
