    I remember that in a lot of interviews from when I was younger. Considering how marginalized they were in the PT, though (and what looks like a diminished role in Episode VII), that's harder to reconcile. However, it is a guilty pleasure of mine to watch "Droid Tales" on Disney, the Lego saga "told through their eyes." It's very funny and self-deprecating and I imagine that's EXACTLY how C-3PO would remember things.

    I think the Jedi were collectivists...Anakin was the only one who considered his droids "his." The rest just got assigned on a case-by-case basis. Poor Arforpee.

    We should wait and see how the droid is used first! Maybe it works out great in the movie and C3PO still has great lines/involvement in the story and with Leia. I can actually see a lot of fantastic and comical dialogue between these two protocol droids, being in direct conflict over their usefulness/skills in relation to their human masters.

    This might be the official justification for Old Ben's line, but it's still silly.

    And anyway, R4 would have a broken motivator if she heard him say something like that.

    In all honesty 3P0 is one of my least favorite OT characters. And Anthony Daniels kind of sucks, just my opinion though.

    Looking forward to some comic relief once PZ-4CO starts bumping its head against low doorframes and the like.

    BB-8 looks indeed like a next generation astro-droid, but I can't say the same for PZ-4CO whose head ornaments remind me rather of the PT.

    And how impractical must it be for somebody to always look up to PZ-4CO - especially for Carrie Fisher? (Leia: "I chose him because he was very tall. He reminded me of my father")

    But haven't we learned by now that Droids in SW don't need a face to show personality? Who in their right mind would have thought that a Droid like R2 would be such a lovable character and have so much personality the very first time they saw him? Even Power Droids were nothing more than emotionless walking boxes till we saw one screaming as he was being tortured in Jabba's dungeon.
