    Luke Luke.

Loved the ending. Gave me chills.

    Whole episode was amazing. :)

Loved the voice actor for kenobi. Reminded me of Alec. He was great.

I understand it's a polarizing episode, but outside the movies, this may be my favorite piece of Star Wars media.

I remember when "Visionaries" came out back in 2005 and really loving the set-up to the Maul/Kenobi confrontation in that book. 12 years later and we get to see that intensely emotional conflict resolved in the most salient, beautiful way. Filoni and crew really demonstrated an understanding of what makes Kenobi, especially Old Ben Kenobi, such a wonderfully deep character. He's learned from his mistakes and grown in the Force, becoming a true Jedi in his time on Tatooine. Maul's understanding of this at the end was an emotional gut punch, giving what was once essentially a terrifyingly one-dimensional henchman character a pathos and arc that only Star Wars can deliver.

I still can't get over how wonderful this episode was. Glad to see so many people understanding the narrative weight of the short fight scene.

10/10 would watch repeatedly for the next 30 years.

Yes the narrative was superb and this episode is a masterpiece.
Watching it for itself that is and will be anyway.

However, I can't stop thinking that there's a lot more carefully hidden that may tie it not only with the PT and the OT (that's obvious) but to the TCW and possibly the ST too, far more than the surface already showed.

I'll say it it again: I will think it's an epic piece of SW anyway. But if what I'm thinkig is correct (I will probably explain it elsewhere coz I don't want bore anyone)... hands down.

I can't wait for the day they announce something TOR related. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought I read somewhere that Dave digs the old Republic Era....

Thanks for the clip. The smoke is coming from his body. Also his tunic is clear split open. Vertical chest slice for the win.

    Do it!

It is only natural. Give into your feelings.

The trivia for the episodes gets posted every monday on starwars.com

Exaggerating or did you spend 8 hours yesterday watching this episode?

Yeah, this has me puzzled for sure: we already know that S3 takes place 2 years before the events of Rogue One and A New Hope, and that Ezra is 2 days older than Luke, meaning that both of them are indeed 17 (19BBY to 2BBY); it certainly has me intrigued as to what he means by waiting until Monday, I hope it's not a cruel joke on the fans, though.

Wow, and I thought that I was the only one who hated bringing Maul back. Unlikely alliance right here.

I never cared for them bringing Maul back but Witwer did such a good job with the character and it felt like he finally got the chance he deserved since introduction in TPM, it grew on me over time.

I agree. I still don't think he should have been brought back. But he was, and they did a great job with him throughout both series. It's possible to believe both things. :)

Thing is if maul hadn't been killed off but remained in power and more of an adversary to both Obi-Wan and Anakin in the film's, that would have been interesting to watch and how it all connects leading up to this episode. I for one felt it was long over due for maul's final fate to be revealed but I found his death very fitting and it was a satisfying closure of his arc. Very well done.

As a young kid when TPM came out, Maul dying in ep1 was a bit crushing.
He would have been a great foil in eps 2-3 before being fully usurped by Anakin.

I like how they were careful to NOT have Ezra call him "OB1" but rather Master Kenobi so later when Luke calls him OB1 he can say that's a name I've not heard in a long time, rather than 2 years prior.

On the downside, now Ezra knows he's alive so I wonder who might try and reach out to Kenobi; his hiding place is in jeopardy with this knowledge. I was seriously expecting a mind wipe.

Man, so many neat visual callbacks. I've lost count of my viewings now (I was at seven earlier today, I think?) so it's easily my most-viewed episode of a Star Wars animated show.

Forgot to mention earlier how Maul and Obi-Wan circling each other around the fire is a clear callback to Anakin and Obi-Wan's circling on the landing platform on Mustafar in ROTS. Furthermore, someone pointed out that Kenobi reverted from his Episode III stance (not really paid much attention to my forms since the new canon started, so apologies) to Qui-Gon's stance from TPM, which confused me as I believed it to be him reverting to his Episode IV stance, and, upon further investigation, I've found that Jinn's natural stance - even during combat - is very similar to Obi-Wan's Episode IV stance.

The poetry runs deeper and deeper in this saga...
