Season 2 trailer

Well Ezra wielded it first.

 

"Old Master" was visually linked to Maul, but it immediately "sounded" Snoke to me.

I've been saying for a year now that the inquisitors were brought into canon for a reason other than a foil for Ezra and Kanan. I was even thinking that Snoke was an inquisitor but the lines about watching the rise and fall of the Empire make me doubt that now.

I'm nearly as excited for the rest of season two as I was for TFA...OK maybe not "nearly" but I am pretty darned amped up after that trailer.

 

man, I just saw the trailer. jeez there is alot of blast I cant wait to see. plus prolly you guys can answer some scene's for me and see your opinions on mine. but i cant wait til the 20th. Ahsoka Tano is my girl!!!

1. The ceremonial Jedi's scene/fight scene: I wonder if kanan is visioning them. I think Kanan will further enhance his Jedi training. (looked at other feeds, didnt know they were jedi temple guards)
2. It looks like they will somewhat backtrack/show on Jedi/sith artifacts, jedi temples.
3. Ezra scene looks like he might be like Kylo in TFA. seems confused regarding whats going on and his feelings. light/dark with yoda and maul. I kinda wanna see SW Rebels go in the direction like the movies. I kinda wanna see Ezra turn dark. cause he has shown it during the series.
4. I like how they are bring back certain characters to put into fold for the Rebels. they look like they will play a big factor in there life.
5. Darth Vader vs. Ahsoka Tano(best scene and my favorite character in SW) I hope they dont kill her off and with her talking to "Anakin" through mind make's it seem like she is stronger in her force training and that Vader is still has Anakin come out here and there.
6. They mention that they need the abilities to "build a rebel base" I guessing that that is the Rebels route during the series. while R1 is stealin the plans the Rebels will establish a base. I still would like to see Kanan in R1.
7. I can see(want to see) the SW Rebels ending with a meeting of Luke Skywalker and possibly Kanan knowing his faith. Ezra turns dark. and the crew establishing the base for ANH.

Tell me what you feel about it. I need to watch it again cause I know I have more to wonder but from my first viewing that is what is sticking out.

I did not think we would ever see Anakin in Rebels. It's a welcome addition for me. Definitely, my favorite part was Anakin's voice coming from Darth Vader, it really helps tie the two sides of the character together. I just wish I could watch them all now, I hate having to wait.

 

Wow. What an absolutely stunning, insane, exciting trailer. I can't wait to see all of this.

I only got to watch it once briefly at lunch, but it looked to me that Ahsoka and Vader were facing off in the same location that she was having her vision of Anakin (a Sith Temple?). I wonder if it is possible that her battle with Vader shown in the trailer is some sort of intense hallucination, not entirely dissimilar to what Ezra experienced in the Jedi Temple on Lothal with Kanan and the Inquisitor?

But holy cow, did this trailer pack a punch. Princess Leia. Yoda. Darth Maul. Vader and Ahsoka. A third Inquisitor. Cross-guard lightsaber. Temple guards. Dark side. Light side. An explanation to the Rebels gang of who Anakin Skywalker was.

I can't wait for this show to come back!

Welp. Time to marathon from season one, again.

 

I'm probably looking too much into it, but if memory serves in the Episode VII visual dictionary there's a reference to Kylo Ren's saber being loosely based off of an old design used in the "Scourge of Malachor". In the backdrop of the shots that take place in the same episode Ezra finds that lightsaber, there are , what I can only assume, are bodies that have been turned, or covered in ala Pompeii, to stone. Coupled with all of the Sith-styled Temples and such, I'm going to assume that this is the planet Malachor, or a planet with ruins from around the time period the "Scourge" took place.

 

Wow just wow! This is so cool but it does bring up a lot of questions. Is the Ahsoka/Vader fight a vision or is it real? Does Ezra replace his blaster saber with that green crossguard saber? Is that Darth Maul or is that young Snoke? Who are those Jedi and how did they survive Order 66? Who is that third Inquisitor? Regardless, this has got me so excited for Rebels, I can't wait!

 

Really interesting that the Sith Temple and everything else around it seems to be underground. You can see a hole above the top of the Sith temple with light coming through it, and there's that scene of that giant beam (whatever that thing is that Ezra activates later in the trailer) rising up through the ground.

 

Is that a helmet on the new inquisitor or is it a kind of reptillian face?

Also how damn amazing was this moment?

At 2:43 there are two Lasats. One an older looking female and another male beside her. Gonna be interesting for Zeb since he believes he's the last one.

Based on that and the second shot it definitely is a helmet, IMO

That was a jaw-dropping moment!!

 

The third inquisitor has to be Mara Jade.

 

Kind of late but this is what I found in the trailer.

• A sith temple
• A third inquisitor
• Tie bombersin action (At last!)
• Chum Syndulla still alive after so much he has gone through.
• Leia being a bad @$$.
• Ezra growing stronger in the force significantly.
• Ketsu Onyo probably returning as her ship is seen.
  
• Creepy spiders from old concept art.
• Other organization of force wielders. (unlike the Jedi and Sith probably)
• Some kind of lightsaber dojo.
• Chopper still being effective as ever against bucket head by head butting them.
• The planet with the weird colored and kind of curved tie fighter remind me of the planet Anoat Star Wars Uprising.
• Ezra talking to Yoda through the force.
• Darth Maul is back (wonder if he is a much more wiser Sith)
• I have a bad feeling about Rex... Sabine-{REX!!!}
• Ezra's natural abilities to connect with the force is shown to a greater extent as he can now control dozens of flying whales without having to use the dark side.
• I have no idea what Zeb is doing with his Bo-rifle... maybe some kind of ritual from his home planet?
• Ashoka probably knows the truth about Anakin/Vader.
• Sith holocron at last!
• My favorite! Battle of the bots! An old C1 unit vs the effective and smart R2 unit!
• Also this R2 unit has been around for quite some time as we can see him in the back ground of the cadet training center to on board Tarkin's star destroyer.
• Sabine getting involved with Mandalore stuff.
• The new inquisitor is probably a new inquisitor as s/he has a completely new lightsaber hilt (yeah the grand inquisitor could have rebuilt it but it looks completely different) and also the height is way to small for the grand inquisitor.
• Confrontation of Vader with Ezra.
• The much more exciting match of Ashoka vs Darth Vader as Ezra won't even stand a chance...
• A green cross blade lightsaber without a cracked cyber crystal. (I thought the crystal had to be cracked to make the cross guard lightsaber?... I'll go read the visual dictionary again.)

This is all I have found as of now. Am I missing anything? Is everyone hyped! I am! No wonder why they had kind of filler episode the first half of season 2. So they don't spoil anything for TFA! The hype still goes on guy! I can't wait for Jan 20th to come!

The new inquisitor is definitely alien but I can't really make out what species it is. You can clearly, albeit briefly, see it at 2:42 in the trailer. It appears to have blueish grey skin and its hands and feet look repitilian or birdlike. It also looks like the helmet and armor it's wearing are modeled from one of the early Kylo Ren concepts.
