Wow, I can't wait to see how the Vader/Ahsoka confrontation resolves.. Anakin's voice coming from Vader gave me chills! This is going to tie them back as one character, which is a thing I have always been struggling with - they always felt more like two discrete characters rather than a continuation of one.

Also, have anyone else considered the possibility that it's gonna be Rex who bites the dust instead of Ahsoka? He too has got a strong (but interestingly different) connection with Anakin and I feel like his character is more resolved than Ahsoka, who still has a lot of ways to go. He could sacrifice for her.

 

Wow that is pricey. It's £25 ($35) here but I pre-ordered it from Amazon cause it was on offer so got it for £17 which was a bargain!

 

I'm assuming that more than one of the main cast will die at the end of the season.It seems to me that Ashoka needs to die so Vader's identity remains a secret (although it would be cool to have Rex discover that he is Anakin!). The rebellion must adapt and change, so characters will come and go as we get closerto the end of the series. With so many potential characters to use on both sides of the force it will become necessary to "thin the herd" or Rebels just becomes TCW all over again with no real focus. Look for the less popular ccharacters to be replaced by more interesting ones. Zeb and Hera could be replaced as they bring the least to the table while Kanan and Ezra can't die b4 the series finale. Only time will tell, unless we can mind trick Filoni on twitter!

This is why the lack of Hera in any sort of merchandising (no or very few toys, not a playable character in Disney Infinity, etc) has me so worried. Almost as if they don't want us too attached to her (or too much product left over after Season 2).

That was the theme of a SW book Outbound Flight, but it was set in the prequel era.

I wonder how bold and cruel the show can get.. You know, it's still aimed primarily at kids.. We still haven't seen anyone important killed. Yeah, the Grand Inquisitor commited suicide and fell, but I am not sure if they can show a beloved character pierced by a lightsaber.. And I expect this season finale to have the darkest episodes yet, however it probably won't end like ESB with a big failure, there needs to be a (mostly) happy end.

..but how would I love to be wrong!

 

It was only a vision, but we did see the Grand Inquisitor stab Kanan in "Path of the Jedi."

 

The new inquisitor intrigues me. Seems like overkill with the whole inquisitor thing already, but a newcomer with a mask leads to many possibilities. The obvious question is, could one of these inquisitors end up being Snoke? While it makes sense Filoni has said that major reveals of movie characters won't happen in Rebels and vice versa. Darth Maul has been speculated to be an inquisitor, be this seems unlikely to me as Maul's powers would seem to exceed those of the average darkside user. I'm guessing the new inquisitor is Ezra's father( no way his parents are really dead)

 

The new inquisitor has alien hands and feet. Also, I too am sick of Inquisitors.
