SPECULATION Star Wars Episode VIII Teaser

I don't see anything, it's just an optimistic guess. I would think it would be a good audience for it, and it might even get people to show up (It's not a saga film we all are mad about Star Wars, but someone may be a little off on an anthology picture) if they knew there would be some kind of teaser or clip to see for VIII. I think it would be a smart move.

 

My take is that they are focusing on R1 now. In the spring around April when they release the R1 blu-ray we will get EP 8 teaser> Just guessing I have only the TFA marketing as a guide.

i think your optimistic guess was shot down by Kathleen Kennedy who said something along the lines of episode 8 will get its turn next year, this year is all about Rogue One. and Rian johnson who said Celebration Orlando is the place to be for Episode 8 news. So unless you dont believe them there is nothing indicating a teaser for Episode 8 in december.

i would say that is the safest bet ever.

I will say with 99% certainty no, no teaser in December. In fact the few clues we have at the moment points to the exact opposite.

 

Bummer. Was really hoping for a teaser around Christmas time.

If I'm not mistaken, I have asked him once or twice about the possibility of an teaser with Rogue One. He hasn't responed, and I think that is on purpose, not because he dont want to but because he want to keep silent about certain things. Also probably because he is so busy editing EP VIII..

 

This is unbearable, i cant possibly wait till Star Wars Celebration next year for a teaser.

 

all of us with Twitter and Instagram should Tweet Rian Johnson and request a small 30 - 40 seconds teaser spot for episode 8. if we all just sit here and do nothing and thinking *oh whats the use it wont work anyway* then nothing will happen. but if as many of us as possible Tweet him and makes the same request he might at least give us a answer, and who knows we might get what we want. come on guys, all of us with Twitter and Instagram can easily take a couple of minutes out of our time schedule to Tweet Rian Johnson and ask him this simple request. guys lets do it in stead of just sitting here talking back and forth, lets show LFL and Disney why Star Wars fans are the most dedicated fans ever!!!!

Celebration is in April. TFA on dvd was released in April after December cinema release.

Jan/Feb. last marketing push to get people along to see Rogue 1.
March. marketing to hype R1 on dvd.
April. R1 released on DVD. 2nd April 2017
April. Celebration. move aside R1... episode 8 is coming through. April 13-16 2017.
May-Dec. Mostly episode 8 stuff. suspect we'll see something for the Solo movie in that period somewhere.

Dec 15th. Pre-booked tickets. Arrive 2 hours early. Popcorn. Ridiculously oversized and overpriced fizzy drink*...

I Tweeted him. It dosn't hurt to try, on the contrary it could only better the situation. It cant possibly get any worse than have to wait till Celebration next year.

 

I admire what you are trying to accomplish with your siggnatures thread, but 4000-5000 signatures is a very long shot. You would be very lucky if you even got 2000 members to sign. But hey I'm with you all the way.

 

If this is mentioned on Jedi Cpuncil next week, that would help a lot. We need to keep the subject alive.
