Teaser trailer or full trailer, when and where?

Star wars Day is too close to the Civil War premiere date.

A remote possibility is Opening Day Baseball. That's a multi day long ESPN bonanza. But that's too close to TFA bluray release

SWC is starting to seem more likely the more I think about it.

 

maybe June or July then for a teaser or teaser poster

 

I'm hearing some things about the trailer. Sounds like it all the variants tested well and are pretty bad ass. Don't know much about the themes outside of one detail. It's a detail that would blow everyone's mind if true, but in a good way. I'm not ready to pass that detail along yet as I want to get some more info. In terms of timing I'm hearing to expect the full trailer at SDCC and a teaser before that. Possibly Star Wars day.

 

I'm wondering if the marketing team is having a bit of a problem with this movie, I mean all of us are aware of the timeline/anthology aspect, but the general public which I'm assuming is a lot based on TFA numbers might be a concern to them, they might be afraid of the "Is the next one out already? / Where are luke and Rey?"

I think they are waiting to be clear of the bluray and general awareness regarding TFA. My best guess is the teaser is attached to Civil War, Celebration seems a little to close to opening day; or they could just wait and drop the full trailer there and skip the teaser.

Also, that "detail" is totally Vader, I mean, its gotta be

May 4th has a chance but Celebration is most likely.

Is Darth Vader in Rogue One?

Is it confirmed? Links?

 

i think it's mostly assumption at this point. MSW reported that there were Vader scenes, but there is so little official news on this movie

 

way to early for even a teaser. I hope so though....

 

i've been thinking about the lack of Rogue One hype and i've come to the conclusion that they're waiting for after TFA to come out on DVD/Blu-Ray; that way they get the most bang for their buck on the biggest film of last year without muddling things with yet another Star Wars film.

with that being said, TFA releases on April 5th. a month after that we have Civil War coming out on May 6th. it is my belief that if we don't get a teaser of some sort on May 4th then something will definitely be included with Civil War. probably not a full trailer or anything, but at least something to whet our appetites!

 

Really? I think hat it's already a bit late for something like SW since it's never been done before .

 

Not too early I think. The Force Awakens had a teaser weeks after filming wrapped, and got another one in April at Celebration. Haven't been following Rogue One news much so don't know where the film is along as others have but one in May isn't too bizarre but I'll take one whenever haha

 

meh.... I have no emotion in it. If my guy is wrong he is wrong. He was right about most of the stuff he told me about TFA. Just adding to the conversation of what he said.

Person I trust says you'll get it before Friday. Not sure of why the timing, but said to brace myself for it.

 

It ain't april 1st anymore, but if that's true, I'm going to flip out! Keeping the hype low though, I wont expect a trailer till next month. If you're wrong that like is going to turn into such an unkar plutt so fast.

 

Same guy who told me that the trailer would drop on Monday Night Football, so I do trust him. Take it for what it is worth! But I am 100% confident in him.

 

Alright well now im super hyped up. I guess now that the force awakens is out on bluray, it would make sense that a trailer would drop shortly after. Looking forward to it!
