TFA's Unanswered Questions

Why was Captain Phasma so heavily advertised and promoted, but yet is suddenly "removed" from the movie with the sudden "Trash Compactor" gag? We don't even see her fate.

Here are my questions:

1-How did Vader's helmet survive the fire?

2-Why didn't Luke make sure his fathers remains were completly burned before going to party with the Ewoks?

3-Why was Rey left in the care of that dork Unkar Plutt considering he seems even nastier than Watto?

4-Why did Finn act the way he acted considering he was trained as a Stormtrooper since childhood? I would expect someone like that to be more serious and brave yet Finn acted cowardly and was constantly funny.

5-Why did Han Solo just abandon a huge ship that was lots of times bigger than the Falcon like if that was nothing? Was it loand from the Guavians or something that he just didn't care?

6-Is Maz Kanata Force sensitive even though she is not a Jedi?

7-How in the world did Maz end up with Luke's lightsaber?

8-Why did Han and Leia name their child Ben? This was something more fitting for Luke to do than them so I see no logic in them naming him like that.

9-Why was there a resistance if there was a republic and why weren't Ackbar and Leia a part of the republic?

10-Was Constable Zuvio changed from being a law officer on Jakku to being a Jedi? Some people have claimed that it wasn't Zuvio who Kylo Ren murdered in Rey's vision but I have already seen the movie three times and that really does look like Zuvio.

2. I don't think his purpose was to fully burn his father's remains. Human bodies are kind of hard to burn, the symbolism was giving his father a Jedi funeral. He may have even kept the helmet himself as a reminder

3. We will get a pretty acceptable explanation of that in time. My guess was they were desperate and Platt was willing

4. There is a big difference between getting trained and actually killing. I however think he is part of the Force Awakening, there's the sound effect cue right when his behavior changes.

5. Well he got his beloved Falcon back, also there is an issue of that ship overrun by both Rathtars and people trying to kill him, abandoning it makes a lot of sense to me

6. I think it suggests that she is but we will have to see in VIII

7. That will be explained in VIII I bet. My theory is that massacre we saw (which was not of the Jedi Temple) was part of Kylo Ren's search for the lightsaber but Maz was there and sneaked it away

8. I see plenty of logic, Ben was a very important man in all of their lives and kind of the reason Han and Leia even met in the first place if you think about it. Only other acceptable name was Bail.

9. They explained that already, the Republic refused to fight the First Order. The Resistance was those who wanted to fight such as Leia and Ackbar

10. No he was just left on the cutting room floor. That guy killed by Kylo in the Forceback is the Game of Thrones actor
