the look Ezra had in his eyes at the end of season 2 made me think something dark is dwelling in him and will be let out in season 3.

I see Ezra following a "Vader Lite" path. He goes all sithy trying to do the right thing, sees the error of his ways, and dies heroically saving someone else. Probably a character from the OT to give some continuity.

It's pretty apparent that they are steering the show to seem that way, but perhaps he does...what then? Is he somehow going to manifest in Episode 8 or 9? Are he and Kanaan going to kill eachother? Are they all going to be hiding safely on Alderaan and then...kaboom!

I thought about that myself. At first i thought that it would be cheap to have them die on alderaan, but imagine that they are meeting with bail organa, preparing for the arrival of the death star plans to come up with a plan while the yavin 4 squad is safely out of imperial view. Then alderaan explodes and half of the best minds and pilots of the rebel alliance are dead

There are problems with this...it seems that conventional wisdom would dictate that at least the jedi in the ghost crew would have to be gone by ep4. On the other hand, adding characters We've invested in to the tragedy of Alderaan ups the emotional ante

I think it won't affect the stories of the characters in The OT at all but if Ezra was supposed to die then it would be the series finale since he's the main character on the show.

They should end Rebels into a anthology Movie. Rebels: A Star Wars Story. You can show the fates of the Rebels crew. Kanan, Ezra, Ahsoka, Maul. A good live action movie? Disney would have the force/jedi SW feel to it. something that was lacking in R1 to have them Reshoot. hmmmmm

Yeah, i kinda like this too. They could actually have some of the deaths we suspect will happen or should, and do it in a pg/pg13 way, unlike the cartoon where i feel that they will have to leave things I . The air

Same here, that would be a great way to end the series.

I consider the best way to end Ezra and any other Rebel, Ashoka included, is let the big bad man kill them all. Darth Vader should bring death to them all, even to some of those pesky inquisitors. Hail Vader !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just thought about it as it being a movie like Han/Boba/Obi anthologies. The Rebels story holds for the cartoon and it holds it own in the timeline. I can see them finding a the new base while the one they are at now can be comprised. It would had the Jedi aspect with Kanan/Ezra and maybe knight Ahsoka. add force visions i.e. Anakin/Yoda/Obi. You get a droid in chopper. it adds the upcoming of the empire. Lando and Han can start from here since Lando has been on Rebels. Rex fighting for the rebellion. Will see. I dont think it would ever happen but to end a good series like rebels would be fitting. TCW was great, and to follow that with RoTS is good. I think we all want Ahsoka to be a jedi tho, me being a fan and what she was been through in TCW to Rebels, she held her own and against Vader at that...

Ezra should be dead at the begining of "A New Hope".

+1 or at least kill one of them off and give the other one a questionable death just to kind of leave something mysterious in tact. Then again ...there was nothing mysterious about Maul getting cut in half and falling down a seemingly endless shaft and he lived so  ....I guess they could both seem very dead and one still survive.

They just pulled that with Ahsoka. If they do it to another character so soon I'm not sure the fanbase can handle it! ;)
Going off Ahsoka's example, Filoni has shown exceptional skill in combining canon facts with fan expectations, so why must we be convinced of this singular thought that "Ezra and Kanan must die" mentality (I'm not specifically addressing you, but the people who think that's the only way)?
