    Here's a thread to discuss Season 2, Episode 1 (or chapter 9)...

    I need to rewatch it and come back with more detailed thoughts, but here are my initial impressions:

    We stopped by Mos Nostalgia to pick up some Easter eggs! :D (See Honest Trailer.)



    I enjoyed this episode, but pacing seemed to be a problem. It was just too slow in spots for me. Maybe a rewatch will help?

    Here's a quick rundown of my initial impressions:

    Gore Keresh is...going to be dead.

    Peli and the pit droids are not dead! (Not sure why they would be, but let's go with it.)

    R5 is not dead!

    Cobb Vanth is not dead!

    The Krayt Dragon is not dead!*
    *Yet.

    Anakin's pod racer is not dead!

    Any number of banthas and Tuskens are dead.

    The Sarlacc is dead.

    Boba Fett's crummy jetpack is not dead!

    Boba Fett is not dead!


    So...we reestablish that Mando is a bad@ss. But oh, did we need more Baby! We need more than just reaction shots. Interaction between him and Mando is key to the show. Fortunately the trailer seems to indicate there will be more.

    I thought it was a good episode. Lots of easter eggs. The one thing that kind of irked me was how the acid did nothing to Din even though it was all over his body. Even if the beskar can survive I'm sure all the fabric would be toast. Not sure how he could have survived. But hey, movie magic. Otherwise like mentioned already pacing seemed off, but glad The Mandalorian is back.

    The episode was excellent, it would have been perfect if it was juuust a bit shorter. I didn't need to see every bit of preparation for killing the dragon.

    But, aside of Easter eggs galore, I screamed when I saw the episode title, I knew we were going to get Cobb Vanth, so canon junkies rejoice! I knew I did. :D

    Timothy Olyphant was great, he fit right in the Mando world. Baby Yoda's little sounds made me tear up. It was great and worth the wait.

    I have to sit on it for a while and/or re-watch to write more, but I wasn't disappointed.

    I loved pretty much everything about the episode, I could get hyper-critical and find a few minor things to pick at, but why bother? 10/10 for me.

    Or Tuscans killed the Sarlacc to eat it, found Boba inside like they found Venth in a desert, and he took the opportunity to disappear and left them the armor.

    I think Rex would look much older. Boba is unaltered clone, he ages normally, I think. Rex would age more quickly. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Just watched the episode. Hey btw Hi! I am back!
    I like the episode, a kind of nostalgia feeling, a bit slow at times, but really nice. Who would expect that it goes back to Tatooine? :)
    Can somebody please shed some light - what was the planet in the beginning and what where those with red glowing eyes? Some animals or the planet inhabitants :D if these were some sort of animals I would like one as a pet :D ahaha

    There are so many hungry animals in this universe, plenty of options to get eaten :) But I am really curious about this planet, I am sure this is an Easter egg of some sort.
