This. A big part of this trilogy is finding friends and becoming a family.

If Reylo happens, then I hope their kids won't be FS to show that the force isn't a thing of heritage.

I'd even argue that that's a theme in SW and not just for this trilogy.

Well, Shmi was also a Skywalker and her blood wasn't mighty. :p I always wanted a (Skywalker) story about two siblings and one of these kids is FS and the other isn't. This would be a really interesting dynamism.

this this this. if they do have kids, i hope it's a bajillion of them and not a one is FS or develops it in any interesting way (maybe a little Chirrut-level awareness is okay).

Ben is what happens when from a young age you're marked as "special" (Hux is likewise a parable of the horrors of children granted too much power).
if they have kids together, i hope they just grow up like normal kids.

at least Rey didn't "awaken" until she was old enough to maybe deal with it in a better way.

Just imagine Kylo or Hux being a woman, then it would actually be a thing in the community. Hahaha!

Well what do we know of this alien species in the GFFA that look like humans. They could be hermaphrodites.

Hux is a hermaphroditic marsupial. it's canon.

but seriously: Rey's parents being nobodies, whether she has kids or not, is a great way to begin a new world in which the Skywalkers don't need to be the center. so on that note, i think she and Ben may not have kids to continue the blood line, FS or no.

Rey is going to be a Jedi. She's not gonna get married. She's not gonna have a kid. If she does any of those things she'll no longer be a Jedi. She'll be something else.

Maybe Kylo will have a kid with someone else. There's a time jump. Maybe Episode IX ends with Ben sacrificing himself for his young son/daughter. Which would leave Rey to train them. That would be a nice way to end the trilogy. Plus, in 10 years Episode X could start with Jedi Master Rey on an adventure with her teenage apprentice.

This whole "Jedi aren't allowed to get children nonsense" started the conflict after all. Rey shouldn't care about that. She shouldn't care about the Jedi and the past.

This is more of a story for EPX.

I disagree. Anakin is responsible for his choices. He could have left the Jedi Order and started a family. He was selfish. A Jedi means something. You're either a Jedi and follow the Jedi tradition or your something else. Ahsoka Tano could have kids. She's not a Jedi.

Rey could always create her own denomination Jedi, but it won't be the Jedi Order that's existed for thousands of years.

that's already been gone since Order 66.
Luke was never a traditional Jedi.

He still practiced the major tenants of the Jedi religion. I wouldn't say he was that much different from Obi-Wan or Yoda except he was trained later and was the last of the order.

This. The Jedi died with Anakin Skywalker becoming Darth Vader. It's time for something new. "It's so much bigger."

yeah, exactly like that. he's not wrong, you know.
he's just going about everything in the worst way possible.
i think that's kind of the point of it all.

I'll be stunned if this trilogy features a huge departure from Lucas' Jedi lore that's been established. It doesn't really serve the story other than creating speculation about force babies.

If that happens it'll probably be a different story.
