The Rematch - Kylo vs Rey (and possibly Luke?) part 2

I had never even considered Kylo using force lightning until someone mentioned it here. That would make for one hell of an action sequence.

I just have a gut feeling that there needs to be some serious consequences to their next encounter. Someone needs to lose a hand or really get injured. I know in TFA it looks like Rey has Kylo pretty well beat, but I'm thinking now that if he had a couple of moments to catch his breath he could get back into the fight, kind of like Anakin from AotC after he gets lightninged. All of his wounds, although major, were mostly superficial.

 

oh but let's ~ if for no other reason than to get everyone's blood up ~ hahaha

i have no doubt Rey couldn't hope to beat him when he is in top form and actually, you know, has his mind on the fight--instead of thinking about his mass-murdering and raping (see above).

 

I agree that every Star Wars Movie needs a "Final Battle" scene and must likely that Final Battle would be a Lightsabre fight, in some SW Movies this lightsbre Final Battle was played long before the actual ending of the movie but the effect was the same and i respect that as cannon. So what will be the Final Fights or the Great Lightsabre Fights in this Movie Trilogy? (running on pure LOGIC here)

Kylo Ren versus Rey was the "Final Battle" for Episode VII, it presented both characters to us.
I expect Kylo Ren versus Luke Skywalker the Final Battle for Episode VIII, ending up with the death of Luke Skywalker.
Leaving Rey versus Kylo Ren round 2 to Episode IX, avenging Luke's death and ending Kylo evil deeds, completing this Trilogy.

Actually i would prefer to have Rey going dark side and killing Luke in the end of Episode VIII in an epic ligthsbre duel, perhaps avenging her parents, while in Episode IX, major plot twist here, Kylo Ren reveals himself as a dark side infiltrator send in by Luke to stop Snoke, and he would have to fight Rey in the epic finale of the movie, avenging his master (yes i like Darth Revan, and i'm completelly hooked on this theory that Kylo Ren in infiltrated in the Dark Side in order to kill Snoke because he is following his grandfather footsteps, destroying the Sith from the inside)

 

The only way I would be okay with anyone killing Luke Skywalker is if, for example, Kylo and the Knights of Ren confronted him and Luke goes down fighting while numerically outmatched, etc., etc. I don't need to see a repeat of Vader vs. Obi Wan either. And for me, KR vs. Rey v2.0 is just too predictable; it needs another layer or two to get me excited. I'd actually be okay with KR killing Rey at some point, if only to break up the predictability of it all, and not because I don't like her character, but to fuel the plot and make a better story/ending. But, I think we all know that won't happen; it'll probably be Luke, unfortunately.

 

Oh really? You're bored with lightsaber battles now? Haha, I kid, I kid.

I trust we will have "another layer or two" by the time we get there. At minimum, the stakes will be higher - right?

My question is, how will they top the snow set??

 

Maybe something like lava or a floating city or a really cool space station set...oh wait...

 

They will fight again, Kylo Ren and Rey... in ep.8 .and this time she will loose.....it's a necessity...he will not kill her like she didn't kill him....I don't think he will hurt her either...just her pride....she needs to learn that she is not the all powerful Mary Sue who can take and do whatever she wants like he had to learn at the end of tfa....it will gain her perspective...and for him...not killing her...it will be another sign of his redemption and return from Darkness...

the Nolan trilogy is the living end ~ and man did i love the snow in TDKR! hahaha

and yeah, i wouldn't mind if Star Wars stayed in the snow for the rest of the ST ~ ha!
i'm almost disappointed because i have a feeling we won't see it again.

... Or they give us that missing "Ren gets rescued from skb " scene in episode VIII? - it is the least what they could do to satisfy our needs.

Alas, Rey v. Ren Rematch will be snow-less. (*sigh*) But they'll have to come up with another visually stunning setpiece, right? The bar has certainly been raised.

Will they be indoors this time? Do you think they'll be on FO ground (like on a Star Destroyer), or on Resistance ground, or someplace neutral/incidental?

I don't really see an event as potentially dark and weighty as the RvR Rematch happening in a locale like that. (Admittedly, I'm not digging this whole casino rumor to begin with.)

I presume the rematch will take place on Skellig Michael. The rain will turn the place into a muddy mess- a storm is coming, we all have seen the short footage from Episode VIII. There will be lots of lightning, rain, and mud... Maybe they will mud wrestle?

 

Oh interesting. I've assumed that by the time Ren gets there (if he does), Rey and Luke will have already left. But I like this idea better!

i actually would like to see a fight in a place crowded with civilians for a change ~ up the stakes in terms of collateral damage, and get a whole different dynamic from the lone knights battling it out.

and okay maybe not a casino, but a densely populated city could be cool. all the better for people to freak out since no one's seen a lightsaber fight in probably, well, ever. hahaha
