Wow!!!! My all time high is Basic Instinct 12 times and The Bodyguard 9 times in theathers. NO Star Wars movie matched that (guess it´s because of internet, dvd and blu-ray)

I've seen Rocky Horror over 100 times... and that was just for kicks, I wasn't serious about it... you don't want to know how many times I have seen a SW movie in a theater... I couldn't even begin to guestimate...

In theathre? :)))))))) hahahahahaha :) but maybe we live in different worlds....back in 83 I lived in Madrid and my dad took me to Jedi. At 9 you are happy he took you, you can´t hope he´ll take you again and again and although I had it in my head since every day, there was no chance to see it again before 2 years later when we get the video. But that time we came back to Prague, where almost no one had a video at 85 and there was no way to bring western movies besides what we had with us from Spain...Then in time of Basic Instinct and Bodyguard we had no multiplex (the first one in Prague was build around 95-97) so I had to travel around Prague to the theather when the movie was that week :) it was not an easy task :) it was long distance. The new trilogy I´ve seen several times....but maximum 3-4. Mainly because I had it home. Pantom Menace came to Europe 6 months after USA, if I remember correctly, so I had it way sooner in a bad copy downloaded from the internet. Clones I had the day of the midnight premiere, so I saw it just hours before the theather and Sith...same story...so in time of internet I had it already at home and I don´t know...I liked the movies but haivng it home and watching it over and over I guess it didn´t attract me that much to see it for the fifth time in theather....

In 1977, my father took me to see SW... it was the first time he had taken me to the movies. Oh, the family had gone before, drive ins and such... but this was the first time it was us guys... I remember popcorn bigger than me and a soda I could take a bath in, all mine... just for me. I was so excited that dad took me to the movies that I didn't even watch the movie.

It wasn't until a week later, when I went back with my brother (using money from mowing lawns) that I actually watched the film...

This is how a fight scene should be done... coincidentally, I saw Mandy Patinkin in concert... brilliant entertainer, and he ended the show with Inigo

This is my favorite rumor so far. When I used to fantasize about what I would want to see in the sequel trilogy the first thing that came to mind was space pirates of some kind. Star Wars needs more honorable rogues a la Han and Lando.

I said long ago that Guardians was the best Star Wars movie since Empire Strikes Back. It struck the right tone.

I kinda feel like this bunch may be Ep 7's 'bounty hunter moment' like we saw with Fett, Dengar, IG-88 and the rest. (The rest being 4-LOM, Zuckuss and Bossk....don't act like I don't know.)

With SO much story to tell, I can't imagine how this crowd fits into the whole of the thing.

Apparently, the pirates we have seen aren't in the Pirate's Cove...

    http://makingstarwars.net/2014/11/blueprintsconcepts-star-wars-force-awakens-pirates-cove/

Ok, I read the article three times... I've kinda been waiting on this all night, so here are the thoughts on it...

I think, between this and my other posts here and here, that this "Pirate's Cove" is the former Rebel base on Yavin IV. From Jason's thoughts, this is the same planet as the Castle (which I had previously thought) so... the "pirate's" in this cove are not the Montross gang we just got descriptions for. From his description of x-wings, etc, it looks like a full on Rebel base still... perhaps the Rebels evacuated after Ep IV and went back... for nostalgia?

The "Rose Room" seems to be the Shepperton location, the "Throne Room" from the ending ceremony of ANH.

Now.. the Carousel... Jason said there are two locations for the Falcon, and (if I read him right) he doesn't think there will be two Falcons... what if the first location is where the Falcon touches down, but later it is shown leaving... and Carousel refers to the prop device which will spin the Falcon around, pointing it to the exit? I was thinking of the rotating aspect of the word when I first saw it, but could not think of why they would need to spin it (unless shooting from the other side, in which case likely they would have built it in the middle of the room) The idea of the Falcon having entered into the hanger, and having to pivot around to get out, sounds very much like what a Carousel would do...

How does this tie in? The Pirates in yesterday's description appear to not be these guys... but are they all pirates still? Different groups of pirates?

If this were a full on Rebel base, and it is near the Castle, and the Warlord is in the Castle... then the good guys would know about the Warlord...

If this were a rogue group of Rebels (think rogue Jedi) on the side of the Warlord, NOT with the "main alliance" it would fit better... IMNSHO

I think what I thought before is right... these guys are chromies, they are with the Warlord, the Castle is part of the Massassii temple, and this is where Ridley (and obviously Han) go for the confrontation... I think after the confrontation, they find out there is a lot more going on then they suspected...

Seems there is a difference between the pirates here-to mentioned, and the Pirate's Cove gang... made a new post for that

So... these appear to be the one's on Ridley's homeworld (hence the presence of Montross)

Perhaps she rescues Boyega, but doesn't know Montross reports to the baddie pirates? Is that who he calls?

I'm thinking that here are no pirates at all in this film - the term was used as a code-name?

I think for the ones in the desert, pirate is synonymous with scavenger... for the ones in Pirate's Cove, "convoy raider"

Isn't the Pirate's Cove just a code-name for the Rebel Base?

It's looking that way... did you read the new post on MSW? Jason gave pretty detailed descriptions... It looks like the Pirate Base is the Massassii temple on Yavin IV, and may be close to where the Warlord's castle is... I started a thread for it

I can't see the 'pirates' cove' and the 'black castle' being on the same planet ... the former will have been carefully sited in a remote location and sure the terrain would have been checked beforehand for weird and forbidding structures? Bit of a stretch to have a rebel base and evil castle on the same world. UNLESS...

The castle, having being discovered by the Rebels, leads to their also discovering an abandoned facility nearby which they re-purpose as a base while conducting business there ... might the base have previously been be a 'guard post' to protect the castle, and now somewhere where the Rebels can monitor the castle for suspicious activity?
