TLJ Second Trailer. When and Where ??

The other thing we should take into consideration is that The Force Awakens didn't get a behind-the-scenes reel. We did get one with The Last Jedi, and like others have said, it won't require as much effort to generate audience interest with this film as it did with Rogue One. It would be really nice to get another one for The Last Jedi, but I'm not counting on getting a second teaser at this point. I'd love it, but the more footage they release ahead of time, the more they risk having people figure out what happens in the movie. They're obviously remaining tight-lipped on the project, so... It's hard to say. I really hope we get a second teaser, but I wouldn't be surprised if they make us wait until September or October for the full-length trailer.

 

Now that's a behind-the-scenes reel I've not heard referred to in a long time...(but it does exist)

Worth mentioning that, to date, the only consistent thread for the marketing of every SW film since and including TFA has had a teaser trailer in April, a BTS reel in July, and a final trailer in October.

And, just so my two cents don't get buried so soon:

I really do think they're following the Rogue One Schedule.

 

Based on...what exactly?

The schedule thus far is the same as The Force Awakens (minus the teaser a year in advance) just as it is for Rogue One, and I don't see a second teaser trailer dropping next month, with no major sporting events taking place, nor any Disney films major or minor enough to warrant a trailer for TLJ, and if not next month it's extremely unlikely that we see anything in September regarding trailers and, therefore, probably won't see a new trailer until the final one in October.

 

Exactly that is why I wait film not trailer. Trailers make teasing by messing things.
Ok,yes I am weak and will not resist to look trailer,but it serves to tease ignorant general public not us.I thought we deserve more , I delivered to much more .

A new trailer for Thor Ragnarok is out, so the next teaser for TLJ will also be out relatively soon.

Rey will fight Sea monster to be granted entrance into secret Shrine where she finds Cosmic Force is above Light and Darkness.Kylo will land on Ahch to and beat Rey but retreat,while Luke kills Knights of Ren,who are story faliure anyway.Finn will go to Sea City where someone knows truth behind Snoke and than he and his girlfriend infiltrate superstar Destroyer where they fight another faliure character-Phasma,and learn nothing about Snoke but Phasma hopefully finaky dies.Luke admits Lea is her mother and than they go to salty Planet Crate for a family reunion where is Amylin Holdo.Lea goes for reunion there to ..Snoke makes master strategic move and strikes at that point to eliminate all enemies in one stroke.Lea dies in attack,Kylo fights second time with Rey and faces near defeat and than twist happens that make Rey and Kylo live together as brother and sister..Snoke is not elaborated but has peculiar traits,for instance he can create living creatures and has colection of exotic beings in his base,which is extremly difficult to found as its ship is cloaked in gravity well .Film ends with near destruction of resistance,unresolved fight between brother and sister Kylo and Rey and unknown destiny of them 2,and Luke goes into personal crusade against Snoke to Revenge most notably his sister.

Considering that Ragnarok releases approximately 1.5 months before TLJ, by that logic, we'll see a trailer at the beginning of September; however, that's not quite how it works, and, as I've mentioned above, it seems extremely likely that we will get a final trailer in October (as both TFA and RO had a final trailer released in October) making it very likely that we won't see a trailer in September if that is indeed the case.

 

Exactly a year ago the second trailer for Doctor Strange was released. The second trailer for Rogue One was presented three weeks later. Taking that into account, premiere of the second teaser for Thor Ragnarok and the fact that ALL Disney films get three trailers before their release it's safe to assume that within a month we'll get a new glimpse at The Last Jedi.

 

Technically speaking, The Force Awakens only had two trailers and one teaser; I'm inclined to fact-check your claim that "ALL Disney films get three trailers before their release", because simply put that statement in itself is made false by international trailers and The like, and, as I stated, Disney does not just randomly release trailers, beyond the initial trailer, these days. They're almost (I say this because I need to fact-check my claim and I'm not 100% on it) always tied into some mixture of an event and an upcoming minor/major film Disney release that would warrant a major trailer; taking your example of Rogue One last year, the second teaser trailer was released during the height of the Olympics and was also tied to Pete's Dragon: there are no such major events taking place this August, nor is there a Disney film for it to be attached to.

Finally: I want a trailer, I really do, but let's please not forget that how they market the film is decided logically and almost always on a case-by-case basis, with Rogue One viewed as needing those three trailers due to it being the first spinoff film, for instance.

I think it's somewhat naive to conclude at this point that it's a fact that we're getting a TLJ trailer next month based simply on "Disney films always get three trailers" and "Disney always does this and that": this is a core entry in the Star Wars franchise, and I think that in and of itself allows us to, at least, question their prior marketing tactics coming into play this time around more than any other time.

 

This very short B trailer begs for a release in August. I'm guaranteeing you this teaser trailer will drop in mid August.

 

Honestly, give me the movie. They've done such a good job on keeping things under wraps, and I have no will power and will seek out every leak, just give me the movie so I can be surprised and enjoy it!!

 

My prediction to ..
