    PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF:confused:

If they follow RO's schedule it will be a teaser in late august. The toys are out Sept. 1 so that might make sense.

Let me say this... he posted a socalled update about the second trailer where he used a screencap of an Rian Johnson Tweet which turned out to be an fake. So to me it seems Zeroh is not legitimit unless he use quotes from reliable sources.. Here is the screencap of Johnson's reply..

Mike Zeroh runs FakingStarWars.net. While funny, his stuff is faker than Star Wars itself.

He was caught by viral faking emails
He was caught stealing MSW videos of Skellig
    He continually lies about info.

So my thoughts about him can be summarised in two gifs

our dear friend JW from MSW agrees with this... can't find it now, but i'm fairly certain it's in one of his recent articles and he has been pretty good with these things.

american football is purty much the only U.S sport i don't really follow, so would it be attached to a particular game? first monday game of the season? #clueless

i wouldn't put much stock in R1's schedule. didn't they adjust their marketing plans because of MI Rogue nation and some name clash shenanigans?

I can't remember if it was a significant game or not back in the TFA days.

The only reason I said it might be is because so far it has been pretty similar but I don't disagree with MNF being a possibility too.

If memory serves correctly, wasn't it mid-August? Could have sworn it was like the 11th during the Olympics...

Whilst it could make sense to tie in a trailer to Force Friday, I find it highly unlikely as they haven't done that with Rogue One or The Force Awakens in the past and a final trailer has come for each in October (a 4-6 week gap doesn't seem long enough between a second teaser trailer and a final trailer, in my opinion and based on past schedules).

This is a good point (and one I'd completely forgotten) but it wasn't too heavily impacted by this if memory serves correctly; M:I6 came out the summer before we got our first Rogue One teaser trailer (in April of last year), and, if anything, just meant we didn't see the 15/30 second teaser for the film from SWC15.

I don't put much stock in Rogue One's scheduling for another reason, as, whilst it is likely that it follows a similar schedule, The Last Jedi is an episodic saga entry and not a spin-off, which, in my opinion, gives credence to there possibly being a difference in marketing scheduling for the two films.

I believe the trailer was screened for select people around then, but not the general public.

Assuming this video is the first wide release of Trailer 2, then it was on 10/13.

edit: However, on my old YouTube channel we have a video released on August 14 in which we discuss the trailer. Must've been earlier than the Star Wars page, then, because we definitely didn't go to a special screening.

Turns out I was referring to the first official trailer and not the second teaser trailer (as there wasn't one); it came out on August 11th :p

Weird to think that Rogue One only had one teaser trailer and two full official trailers as opposed to The Force Awakens' teaser, teaser trailer and full, final official trailer.

So if next month's trailer is a teaser trailer, can we all agree that it isn't following Rogue One's marketing schedule to a 'T'? Because 1:31 is awfully short for a first full trailer (and, I mean, thinking about it, it's also pretty short for a second teaser trailer too)...

    indeed.

there are other factors that they will have to factor in as well. big hitters like Thor and Justice league advertising like mad from october, and lest not forget that Daisey Ridley has the orient express thing coming out in november.. while that wouldn't normally be an issue, they will try to avoid clashes where we see Daisey in scavenger clothes one minute and in a posh frock in the next sitting on a train the next.

a big leak could drop on the internet at any moment which could change their plans.. so much to consider. marketing for something this big has to be very very fluid.. even if they come up with dates a year in advance.

Interesting. From the leaks, I'd assume it is a teaser, given the quoted length.

Yeah, that length is still throwing me off from believing that it's a teaser trailer - in the way that the last TLJ trailer was a teaser trailer - or a full trailer.

The Force Awakens received a teaser (1:39), a teaser trailer (2:00) and an official final trailer (2:36).

Rogue One received a teaser trailer (1:58) and two official trailers (2:16 and 2:38 respectively).

I'm starting to think this is an extremely fast-paced teaser (I can't see this being a "teaser trailer" with a cohesive flow to it given the length) with plenty of jump-cuts similar to the teaser for TFA now. Heck, it could even turn out to be an IMAX trailer at this point.

1:31 is significantly short in comparison to the other teasers/teaser trailers/trailers.

I knew Murder on the Orient Express was coming, but completely forgot how close it's release was to that of The Last Jedi. I can still absolutely see them releasing the final trailer come mid-October (to attach to the aforementioned film and Thor: Ragnarok) based on past precedent (and any later would be throwing a tie-in to the start of ticket sales away in my opinion).

Heck, its even possible that it could be shown on a show such as Good Morning America at this point simply given the length and how there is nothing Disney-owned coming out in cinemas for them to attach it to, nor are there any major sporting events taking place; at least attaching it to something Disney-owned (albeit quite randomly) would make sense.

The differences between "teaser" and "trailer" are getting pretty blurred these days, anyway.

Consider the Jurassic World teaser- about 20 seconds, basically a single shot, a brief piano cover of the theme, and the majority was just the film's logo.

Compared to that, TLJ's "teaser" was enormous- essentially a full trailer, by comparison.
