My version of Rhett sure did. And speaking of the secret one and Rebels, how delightful it would be if Kento's son got to square off against the real Darth Maul instead of Proxy? I hope Maul gets finish Kanan's arc, before facing Starkiller... with Vader being the one to put out his fire once and for all. Unless of course, they plan on Ewan and Ray duking it out in a future Ben Kenobi standalone, then all bets are off.:p

I liked this episode. The best part was that Maul was like a boss and showed the inept Kaanan and Ezra how to inflict pain and death to the annoying and hyped inquisitors.Yes I know Ahsoka beat the seventh sister on one occasion.I have since the beginning felt frustrated with how a weak Kaanan could hardly match nor overcome these inquisitors.Grand inquisitor was another ball game as he felt more classy, skilled and intimidating to me then these two plus one clowns. In that case I could accept Kaanans inferiority and struggle.Another cool thing was to see a bit of Anakins face behind that mask.I was however dissapointed to not see Vader actually strike Ahsoka down and more so that they did not venture in the direction of showing Vader being superior to her if not for his tapping into the dark side.

I really do feel like Asoka will live. She's a loved character and we only really got to see her in like 10 episodes in this series. You see her walking out of the temple and if they wanted to kill her off they probably wouldn't have shown that, they might've shown a force ghost or something if she died, but the figure walking out is not a force ghost. The temple totally blew up so I think her and Vaders fight was cut short (wish we could've seen more of the fight). Also when Vader walked out of the temple he didn't look exactly pleased, I mean ya he got his mask cut and Asoka probably gave him a good fight, but if he defeated her he'd probably walk out of there more proudly.

This was probably my favorite episode hands down. I was blown away.

Agreed she is a loved character missed her during the clone wars episodes she brought the best in Anakin but had to forge her own path, I believe their duel ended in a draw we will probably see flashbacks in season 3 on what happened when the temple came down & the duel resumed.

Finally saw it. I thought it to be an extremely bad episode. Using lightsabers as rotation blades? This was a very prequel-like.episode.with lightsaber overkill to the max. I much prefer fresher takes on the saga like Chopper's shoplifting.

Finally just watched this last night - I'm bit late to the party due to travelling and stuff but here's my verdict:

    Bits I Loved:
    - The fights were amazing. Visually it was so satisfying.
    - I thought the way Ezra was seduced was genius. What Maul was saying was logical! I loved how young and 'human' Ezra was in this.
    - Vader. The way Vader just came down on that Tie Fighter was BOSS! The way Ahsoka took out a bit of Vaders helmet was amazing and we got to see part of Anakin's face which was filled with rage.
    - I love Kanan. He's trying his best to teach Ezra but he struggles. Again, I love how human he his. It's all very relatable. I really felt sorry for him when he was blinded. I also loved the scene where Ezra guided Kanan... it was very simple but sweet. It's an interesting relationship and will probably be a big focal point in Season 3.
    - The dialogue was pretty spot on.

    Bits I Didn't Like:
    - As soon as I saw the Inquisitors spinning lightsaber things could be used as little helicopters I was so annpoyed. Rebel's is Canon... so this literally confused me. Why are these lightsabers so amazing at everything? It's not inspector gadget! What on earth were they thinking!? If one of those stupid sabre's were seen and used as little helicopters in a SW Film I think a full on revolt in the Western World would happen. Not a fan. (cc: Dave Filoni)
    - As much as I like his character, I still find it hard to believe that Maul is alive. But maybe that's just me.
    - I thought the temple and planet they were on was a bit of a rushed concept. It didn't particularly look Star Wars to me. I thought it was a bit of a cop-out.

Other that those it was a pretty well written episode. CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 3!

Just saw the episode last night. It was good. I like how they cliffhanged alot of the characters. But in all it was good. well expected with how they were going the path of uncertainty and to get me tied into R1. there were a few hiccups I didnt like i.e. helicop-ta-saber!? and how quick they killed off the inquisitors. I like how Maul got stronger with Ezra slowly used the darkside of the force to help him. alot has been left open so Ill start with what I think and what season 3 might bring.

    1. I think Maul went to go seek out the emperor cause he wants to destroy everyone. (I think he dies in Vaders hands)
    2. They showed the bro and sis inquis get killed off and the other just get flown off the temple. So which leads me to believed that Ahsoka is not dead.
    3. Darth Vader (of course he lives) and Tano got blown from the blast and leave Tano on the planet to search for answers. I dont think they would kill her off without showing some sort of resolution. Plus with what Dave Filoni said about the Convor's I think they are guardians. Cause when it flies off down to the temple I think its to find/guard/seek out Ahsoka then you see Ahsoka walk into the temple. In TCW/Rebels they are there as company when they overwatch them in the cave and when Ezra/Zeb are relaxing. and that the birds are only in the scene when the "lightside"(goodside) of the force is presence. That is what I depict if that is what Filoni wants us to dig deep in. Why there is not more birds IDK but it started off as 1 when ahsoka came then 2 then 3 in the TCW. then 2 with Zeb/Ezra. I think she is still alive and season 3 will be her final conclusion in SW.
    4. Kanan was prolly the most viewed character in the finale, to me. He gets blinded and uses his sense to fight. I think his ability of the force enhances due to lost of his eyes at that moment. That his training will be stronger in season 3. I think he will meet his end at season 3(if season 3 is the last season) as well. I think he will meet Obi-Wan and Yoda (personally) to let him know his faith in the force.
    5. I think Ezra wont turn to the darkside in season 3. he loses his saber against Vader. I think during the time he will construct a new saber and he showed alot of trust in Kanan to where Ezra cared about him at the end. Ezra will be flirt with the temptation but I think the Holocron plays a big role in season 3 and that Maul/Vader/Emperor will want that holocron.
    6. I think we will see the cast of R1 in season 3. Erso will make an appearance and I think this is where they will show princess Leia get captured by the empire. I thought they would show it in R1 but I think they will leave that out and since they already showed leia in Rebels its fitting for rebels to end in knowing the uncertain with Leia captured, more R2-D2/C3PO, Yoda. Will see.

May the force be with you always...

I didn't like it at all, it was not "cool".

For me Vader is an absolutely "cool" character who doesn't have the need or ambition to put up such a show. The Vader I "know" would have landed his TIE fighter, jumped out of it and then marched straight into the temple top, unimpressed and unaffected by anything that might have happened left or right of him.

I totally agree with this. But on the other hand, I was just so entranced with the theatre and badassedry of the image, I just didn't care. Also, this image would totally have impressed upon the wee humans how awe inspiring Darth Vader is, and in a way they understand.

As far as the episode is concerned, i echo the general sentiment that this episode was very satisfying. I think it opens up some wonderful plot lines for the upcoming season.

    My questions:

I keep reading in this thread about next season being the final one. Where is this coming from?

Darth maul returns again. This was much better than some of the gimmicky ways Katie Lucas used him in TCW ( which were still pretty cool in spite of their flaws) but how much longer can we keep this dude around? Personally i would rather see obi wan have to take him out to defend an unwitting Luke than have Vader take him out.

Star Wars Rebels forms a bridge (Ezra Bridger) between the Prequel Trilogy and the Original Trilogy. Because the characters in Rebels, and especially Kanan and Ezra, do not appear in the Original Trilogy, it is expected that the series cannot continue forever. At the very beginning of the Original Trilogy, Obi-Wan Kenobi is Leia's only hope and soon after Luke was the last Jedi, suggesting that Kanan and Ezra are no longer around.

The series started about five years before A New Hope. The question is how time has passed in the Galaxy Far Far Away in two seasons. Has it been two years? Or has more time passed? Some people believe more time has passed and they therefore think that next season will be the last season of Rebels.

There was also a rumor in November 2014 saying that Rebels would only last three or four seasons: http://makingstarwars.net/2014/11/r...easons-sequel-trilogy-animated-series-follow/

And maybe that is how Vader would possibly end up in a bacta tank, as rumoured based on the Rogue One teaser.

That is why I have a mixed feeling about Rebels. I have come to love the series and the characters, but my biggest gripe about it is that perhaps the Ghost crew will not be around by the time the Rebellion is in full-fledged mode.

On Season 1, they mentioned Ezra was 15 on his birthday (same as the Empire Day). And on Season 2, Princess Leia mentions she is aide to her father, Senator Organa, and we know from "A New Hope: The Princess, The Scoundrel and the Farm Boy" that she became a Senator at sixteen years old - "Bloodline" confirms she had been a junior delegate at the Senate since she was fourteen years old. So I guess during mid-season they might be 3 - 3.5 years from ANH.

I love Ahsoka much more now since ive watched TCW. You invest so much into SW and with Rebels/TCW you cling to them as if they should be in the films. I like Fives story arc in season 6. so much is tied into the films that we all want some closure to characters in the trilogies. They need to give them a proper ending to give them meaning in the whole SW.

Thanks for clearing up the rumors about the end of the series. As long as just one more season leaves them enough time to wrap up their story!

You know what seems likely to me that should happen for Ahsoka? If you seen season 6 of TCW with Yoda arc when he invisions an illusion at the jedi temple with Ahsoka. when she ask about her being one with the force and why the Jedi did what they did. I think Yoda should be the one to tell her she will be one with the force after his training in season 6. Good ending to her story I think.
