What was Luke thinking when Rey extended his lightsaber

Well, as she stated, Luke was a mythological figure to her. Until Han Solo confirmed Luke's existence, she probably thought of him as some sort of super hero I'm assuming.

I think he was in a hut when he heard a ship fly by. So he got out to look for it. He then heard Chewie's roar and expected Han. When he saw Rey he became confused, and when she took out the lightsaber he was probably even more confused and even slightly scared.

 

I think he was thinking this...

"Oh great...just when I need to take a dump, some random girl shows up with...my old lightsaber? Oh...damn. I guess I could look away...but, I can't..."

"Well...this is just great. I was about to go for another dive off the cliff and do a few laps and now this random girl shows up. Talk about bad timing...and why does she have my old lightsaber?"

"Oh I don't feel so good...It hurts so bad that I must pass gas...Hopefully, she won't smell it if I move slightly around...Ah...*turns around and pushes hood back* there we go...Uh oh.."
Rey - *sniffs sniffs and looks at Luke with disappointment*
Luke - "This is not how I wanted this moment to be...Hopefully the wind will clear the smell away."

Well.. given how 'alone' he must've been all that time if you 'know' what I mean, I Imagine he was thinking.. 'Super Soak That Hoe...!'

I think all that is communicated very well in silence. Lots of people bag Hamill for his acting in OT, but he got better with each film, and having looked at the various TFA pics that have popped up on the web, I'm convinced he'd practiced that look for 30 years. He'd certainly been practicing it since the read-through.

I'd bet anything Luke felt Han's death, the effects of the the starkiller base, and knows exactly who Rey is and why she's there.

I think he also knows her arrival will lead to his death.

 

He was about to say: "Oh c'mon that thing again???!!!!....OK....By chance, you didn't see a hand attached to that, right?

Yoda got some 'green' balls having lead an entire life of abstinence I'm sure. Still can't blame any of the Jedi for getting dirrrrty once in awhile.
