SPECULATION What will be Luke's first lines in Episode 8?

Been lurking around this thread from time to time, but don't recall actually commenting before now. Luke Skywalker is my favorite character from the entire saga and has been since I was a kid watching the OT films over and over again in the 80s and 90s. Yes, I think Luke will have a large role in Episode VIII, and I hope in Episode IX, too. By December of 2017 I'll have been waiting for 34 years to see Jedi Master Luke Skywalker in action on the big screen and I doubt we or I will be disappointed.

Looking beyond Episode VIII, if the Jedi are to be reborn as an Order, in whatever form that may take, I would want Luke to be around for the initial years. Given the circular nature of the saga to this point it would make sense for Luke to be killed off within this trilogy, but it's possible TPTB would wait for the next one to do that. I feel like it is Luke's task to begin rebuilding the Jedi Order and as much as I like Rey it would suck to have her be the one to do it. I expect her to play a crucial role in the development of the Order and one day be a leader of it, but Luke should be the founder and the mentor.

Lol . Darn right. I'll be 36 (closer to 37) by the time Episode VIII rolls around. Even if it hasn't been since precisely May 25th, 1983, as far back as I can remember (no later than 1984) I've wondered what became of that ole' wizard after Episode VI.

That sounds like the ghost of Jar Jar Binks has been communicating with him a bit too much ... would definitely explain why he looks crazy now .. ..

Should be interesting what the next line with be, but I think Luke will be first to speak. I DO wonder if the dialogue that comes out will give us some indication of Luke and Rey's past/connection. Did his initial reaction in VII imply he knows her or simply is it time for him to join in the conflict? (I think he recognized her by the change in expression on his face as he unveiled himself; look of astonishment) . Who knows ? I"m sure people will be on the edge of their seats. Could be a line or a combination of lines such as " Who sent you?" "How did you find me?" or "Who are you?" "Rey?"(I don't honestly think he knows her by the name Rey, if he does know her at all) lol. That first line could be very telling or keep stringing us long LOL. All in good fun.

BTW, Great photo with Mark up above! Ha ha. Was in London for ten days on holiday and settled with a hug at Celebration! Totally fine with me! ha!
