SPECULATION Who Will Rise to be a New Inquisitor? - POLL

I think Mara Jade will be the new inquisitor.

Im sure they will write her time in the rebel series very well.

I can definitely see it. But I think his whole past will not be implied like Depa Bilaba and Shatterpoint is in the new Kanan comic. As for the armor, for sure, I can see it work well with the Rebels art style. I don't think Starkiller will be damaged or hurt if he is brought back, but he just follows Vader's style.

 

I honestly don't think there will be a new inquisitor, nor do I really want a new one. I think the prospect of seeing Vader hunt down the rebels himself appeals to everyone, more so than an inquisitor would.

However, if there will be new inquisitors, then I would prefer them to be either Barriss Offee or Mara Jade.

 

Exactly. He only hunts down the pilot who destroyed the Death Star, ironically his own son, which shocked the Empire and led to Vader becoming demoted and working on his own path to power, separate from the Empire. When Vader appears, it will be brief, brutal, and shocking.

 

Jerec as Kanans Rival
Starkiller as Ahsoka/Fulcrums (its the fight that needs to happen)
Mara Jade as Ezras rival (and occassional ally/frenemy)

 

I keep wanting to say Desann... so bad...

But his story is so wrapped up in Lukes Jedi Academy that it would be unsatisfying to see him returned in a completely unrelated context. Also if I was going to bring Desann back in the new canon, I might make the Ballsy choice of him NOT turning to the dark side.

my thing is that with three individual jedi, we need to have a substantial number of inquisitors. I feel like something that has always been missing from Star Wars visual/televised/crap you can watch on your TV media... is clashes between force wielding, lightsaber holding, forces.

And the inquisitors might not be sith, but Ezra, Kanan, and Ahsoka... are not quite fully jedi in the traditional sense... so its somewhat appropriate feeling.

Also, I kinda really really want to see Obi-wan and Yoda come out of retirement briefly, for the exact opposite of this scene to occur. With the last of the jedi raiding the inquisitor headquarters....

I might be getting my hopes up too high now :|

 

I don't think they'll use jade, but I also dont think it would be hard to use her. Luke is the great redeemer. One line saying "he redeemed his father, and he redeemed me" would be enough. Then they could crank out a series of novels for raid fans who wanted to see the details.

 

You know now that I think about it, according to the new canon... The fact that the emperor and Vader are Sith are not widely known in the empire.

So... who is Vader to most imperials? I figure that he is officially the "grand inquisitor" in official matters.

 

Yeah, remember that everybody in the OT talks about the force as a "myth" "magic" "old magic" "nonsense" "forgotten"... So yeah..

 

Mara Jade is for me the new surprise in Rebels. I think Barris already did her work, sacrificing the character for Ashoka and Asajj could continue in the story. I really can't accept deep inside of me that Barris turned to the darkside hahaha . Quinlan Vos is another character I LOVE and I hope to see him in the screen, he is the jedi with the record in how many times he have changed to one side to another... So he plays for the dark side, then the light, then who knows.. he is a great character, and a Rastaman of course!
