    You know...the idea of Rey being adopted as a Skywalker is one that never occurred to me. But now is makes so much sense, at least as a way to broaden possibilities.

    Luke needs a SON to carry on the medichlorin count from grandfather Anakin Darth Vader. Luke should have had twins, needs to have twins. In Luke's time there is no Jedi Order and the Order that existed failed and died. Jedi need families to help keep them balanced in the force, that much was evident in the prequels.

    Give Luke sons, twin sons. many sons. Give Anakin an unknown Twin Brother. Maybe Snoke?

    I'm the last person to say we need more and more female leads in Star Wars (it just doesn't matter to me), but why would it matter whether Luke has a son or a daughter? Wouldn't the midichlorian count be passed on regardless?

    i'm going to commit Cantina suicide by saying Rey should adopt the Skywalker surname, marry redeemed Ben, and have two dozen children if people are so desperate for the Skywalker name and blood to carry on.
    sons, daughters, twins, as many as you like.
    Rey can stay out saving the galaxy and Ben can be house dad, raising the kids with grandma Leia and teaching them how to stay out of the Dark.
    they can build a whole Jedi army. hahaha

    okay, he can look kinda creepy as a dad ~ hahahaha (though i gotta say he wasn't creepy at all in this movie and his love for his son in it was heartbreaking).

    It's odd to think about it, but I guess so. It shouldn't matter, a name is just a name, all is good if the bloodline goes on. But yeah, I guess there won't be any more "official" Skywalkers. I have no reason to think Rey is one, and Kylo Ren is probably just Solo or Organa-Solo. Too bad, I really liked the name. Sounds as nice as Skynet lol
