    I totally agree. They chose not to train Anakin because he was too old and had developed too strong of a fear of losing his mother. They except younglings that are too young to have any unbreakable emotional attachments. And @PastorBarndog has it right IMHO that the Jedi know what potentially destructive power they teach padawans to hone, and Anakin simply wasn't an acceptable risk due to his fear.

    I would prefer to be a Jedi.

    However...

    If it were true that as a Sith, I could learn how to save the people I love from dying, then I would have to be a Sith, regardless of the consequences I may suffer personally.

    Thought I had posted here. Maybe not. Anyways, I'd go with Jedi.

    Reasons: simplicity. Yes, you have to give up things, but living a life trying to not want seems easier than living a life where you want everything. Plus I'm sure one could get a cushy "desk job" or something like that librarian.

    "Homer: [taking notes] Uh huh. Uh huh. Okay. Um, can you repeat the part of the stuff where you said all about the... things. Uh... the things?"

    This is how I see the Jedi vs Sith debate
    Power scale
    Jedi:1-10
    Sith:1-11
    I believe the Sith are stronger but power has the ability to corrupt if not handle correctly.
    I would go with Sith because you could tap Into your force power a lot more.

    I would go with Jedi because i don't want my apprentice killing me. Yoda lived 900 years. I don't know of any sith who has lived all that long as a sith. You have a target on your head.

    Jedi, because I always thought that Alec Guinness in the OT was the role model.
    He was selfless, serene, polite, wise and tough if needed (Cantina scene in mind), I liked his peacemaker approach.
    By the way in Kotor games I always try to be nice guy at others and helping them out.
    Sure playing as Sith is funny at times, but in real live, no way.

    I'd rather be neither. If I was Force-sensitive, I would choose to walk my own path separate from either orders.
