SPECULATION Your 'big twist' predictions

The first 6 movies were just yoda having a vision, then he stops anakin and palpatine, thus rewriting the entire continuity of the Star Wars universe.

I think that this movie wont have that much of a "big plot twist" thats more for Ep. VIII this one will probably have a lot of open endings and cliffhangers to leave us wanting for more. Thats what i would do anyway!

 

• Leia is the one who created academy, a teacher of new generation of Jedi and only apprentice Luke ever had.
• BB-8 being created from R2-D2
• Rey actually not being related to anyone
• Plagueis appears for a brief moment just to be killed by Snoke
• Mara Jade back in canon

 

I'm certain Kylo Ren is a solo I don't even think it will be a secret, I think the reveal will be that Rey is a Skywalker

Here's some other ideas
.Vader actually built Starkiller base and secretly started the First Order in deep space in an attempt to overthrow the Emperor
.Luke isn't a jedi and gave up his powers, the great hope for the resistance then falls to Rey
.Kylo Ren is like Snape, a reluctant infiltrator of the Knights Of Ren who's actually on the good side (Remember those multiple rumours of the Ren/Rey/Finn duel ending with Kylo Ren 'doing something with his hands' that makes Rey run to look after Finn instead of fighting)
.Anakin wasn't the chosen one, the Skywalker name is the chosen family or something, the dark side can't be destroyed it's their destiny to fight it

Those are just a few, I love twists I hope there's a bloody good twist coming!

 

In the OT, the 3 big reveals were the result of older characters chosing to withhold facts from Luke (and therefore, the audience). It could be interesting if the ST does something a little different - if the heroes (as well as the audience) understand certain facts, and the twist is that they are a surprise to the antagonists. For instance, the audience might be led to assume that Kylo knows that Han is his father, only for him to find out the truth in VIII or IX. Or something similar. It could be cool if the audience is led to side with the secret-keepers, and sympathize with their delimna, and then the twists become how the shocked parties respond.

 

The Galaxy figured out the connection between Vader, Anakin and Luke...Luke went into hiding to protect Leia only to be sought out when the galaxy needed him again.
Leia headed the new Jedi Academy before it was attacked. Luke arrived too late to save it.
MVS is a failed experiment to clone Luke.
Finn's parents are Lando and Leia (hence why Han and Leia aren't married).
Rey is Luke's Daughter, Kylo is Han and Leia's son
Snoke is a dead Sith communicating from the "netherworld" trying to orchestrate his resurrection (Plagueis, Palpatine, Bane, Vader ?)
The StarKiller secret weapon is just a front for a secret lab. What it will build/create/resurrect is the weapon

 

Rey isn't a Skywalker... she's a Kenobi.

In my head, there will be more "Journal of Obi Wan" issues of the Star Wars comic book. We will learn that Obi Wan, as he continued to shed his Jedia past and become anonymous, normal, average, fell in love with a woman on Tatooine. Maybe a local politician, an anti-Empire firebrand who reminded him of Satine. They marry, or not, and have a child. The woman is captured and murdered by the Empire though, and Obi Wan, believing their child was also killed, retreats further into his hermitude.

But the child survived somehow and is raised, much like Luke was, by a surrogate family on the desert planet. He/She grows up unaware of his/her lineage, but with strong Force sensitivity. As a young adult, Obi Wan's child joins the rebellion, driven by a subconscious need to do what he/she knows is right. After the war is effectively over, the child is in a position of leadership in the Rebellion, possibly even in the good graces of Luke and Leia. It's then that through the Force, the spirit of Obi Wan realizes his child survived, and confers with Luke to learn more and possibly communicate. Eventually it's revealed that Obi Wan is his/her father, and while the child realizes they have great strength through the Force, they cannot become a Jedi. But their own new daughter, could she?

Luke takes on the task of training her, along with other candidates, at the new Jedi Academy on Devaron. She is of course the star pupil, and the importance of this child and the significance of his training her is not lost on Luke. But the academy however is lost, and all believe Obi Wan's grandchild, along with the other students, is killed. But she has in fact been rescued by Maz Kanata. Like her grandfather, as she grows she hides from her past to protect herself and her friends, but cannot deny the Force or the inherent need to do good in a near lawless galaxy. She eventually retreats to Jakku to live in solitude, mirroring her grandfather yet again.

And that's where we resume the story...

 

Max von Sydow's character is actually Ming the Merciless from Flash Gordon. It will all lead up to an Avengers style crossover between various sci-fi film characters.

 

I see a lot of people are clinging the the belief the Rey and Kylo are Solo's. Problem is its not much of a twist if everyone goes in expecting it.

The twist wont the be about the family relation of the new characters. It will be about the circumstances of Luke Skywalker's absence, what hes been doing, and why he returns.

 

I think Snoke is Plagueis.

In the now "non canon book" Palpatine gets Plagueis drunk and then kills him. But I think Plagueis moved his soul to the Yinchorri he had been studying. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Yinchorri

Notice how the Yinchorri resemble the rumored look for Snoke. Old man or snake like.

 

Rey is really the daughter of Leia and Boba Fett, from that one night in Jabba's palace when it was cold and they cuddled....

 

I'll go out on a limb. I base this on the fact that we've seen Finn with a lightsaber in footage, yet Finn has not been seen on Skellig.

so my twist is that Finn and Han both get captured at the end of VII

Finn is questioned not by Kylo, but in VIII by the new female they have been casting.

They do not kill solo because the best way to assure Luke comes to you, it to kidnap one of his friends.

my second twist is that I do think Kylo is related to either Luke or Han, and they presumed him dead and he may not know he is related to them.

Rey is not related to anyone and resists training as a Jedi until she must do so to rescue Finn who risked his ass to rescue her in VII. Its worth a shot right.

 

Oh I also think that Ezra Bridger is KyloAnd of course that means Sabine is Phasma.

Don't know if you are joking, but Luke, Leia and Ezra were all born on Empire day, so Kylo is way too young.

 

Dude... Ezra would be an old man or dead by episode 7. Adam Driver looks like a young adult. Stop.

 

I like this.....considering the majority of us assume/know Han will bit it in EPVII

I previously posted somewhere that it would be odd if both of these characters don't share any screen time together considering their relationship was a pivotal plot point of the OT....
