    Spoiler-soaked fans who have registered accounts at forums like this aren't "everyone." For the vast, overwhelming majority of the theater-going audience of this film, it should be a surprise.

    AFAIK, Kylo is Han's (and Leia's?) son.
    AFAIK, Rey's parentage is not revealed in Ep 7.

    I'm gonna disagree with you here. The vast majority of Star Wars fans both hard core and casual are acutely aware this movie has new characters, and that those characters could be related to the big 3. It a logical assumption to make given that it's been 30 years since the last film. You don't need to be an internet fan boy to get the idea.

    Family relation isn't not going to be a twist if 75% if the audience goes in expecting it.

    I just don't agree that 75% of the audience is going expecting that one or more of Finn, Rey, Poe, and Kylo are biologically related to the OT cast. I think that the overwhelming majority of the people who will be paying tickets to see this movie have no such preconception (though I'm sure, like you say, many of them will entertain the idea). And I don't think anything in the movie will give them that idea as it unfolds. I think it's only once we get the flashback with Maz that we'll finally gets hints of who's related to who, and I think it'll be a surprise for audiences.

    A: Force Ghost Yoda will reveal to Luke that he knew of Snoke, the First Order, Darth Plaguis, etc as the real threat. This might be the cave scene a lot like Luke's magic tree scene in TESB(1980).
    B: I don't see Leia being under Snoke's direct control but I do think Mon Marta & maybe ADM Ackbar will get waxed. Either in the Jakku battle, a extended flash back or a assassination scene. Leia will be conflicted because her father is Darth Vader(which might create a scandal or raise doubts).
    C: A villain or character might turn good when Luke explains the force or shows them the truth about a subject. This lead character might die but they will either be redeemed or they will aid the young leads in Ep8.
    D: the Falcon, (falcon) will get banged up but repaired for Ep8/9.
    E: C3P0's red left arm won't be explained or it won't make a big deal. :rolleyes:

    OK, so in all honesty, I would bet that there would be a setup for Rey to be revealed as a Solo (Han or Leia mentioning having a child that disappeared a long time ago) only for that child being revealed as Kylo (The child's gender was never referenced or something?), while Rey is actually a Skywalker/Kenobi/Random.
