    I´m no fan of twists. I can remember two good twists in the past decades. I´m your father and th sense twist. I don´t believe that a good movie or a good story needs a twists. Twists are always a sword with two edges. It can work or - mostly - it damages the movie. But there will be twists or surprises here who are the new good and bad guys. We will be definitely surprised - even if the characters are not relative to anyone :)

    Yeah, I think "reveals" are healthy. Movies with too many twists can be terrible.

    I don't know if it has been mentioned in this thread already, but a possible twist is that Luke was already dead (explained why he's gone or missing for years). When Rey went to look for him at the end of the movie, all she found was his force ghost.

    a reversed "i am your father moment" a complete stranger walking up to Luke in ep.8 saying: I am your son ! Luke looking puzzled mumbling: "No? That´s impossible... ? :D :D

    & now a serious suggestion: R2D2 revealing something huge, since he is the only one that knows everything that has happened since ep.1, he might as well know a lot more & different people feeding him information all the time AND he is in service on Naboo originally & it is still a mystery why he is so "well put together" & by who? & WHO is also there pulling strings??? that´s right: old palpy. R2D2 might know things about Palpatines life !

    I think that Rey ends up being the villain in episodes VIII & IX after a surprise reveal at the end of VII.

    One thing that doesn't add up for me is how nice and clean Luke's robes appear for someone who supposedly is found living on a misty, muddy, rock in the middle of nowhere. It practically looks like he's in well-groomed, white linen dress attire and yet he's holed up in a dark cave.

    So what if....

    LUKE IS ALREADY DEAD when Rey finds him... he's already a ghost!

    That would account for his dress attire and the fact that he's appearing to her on a mystical isle....

    Maybe he died fighting the Knights of Ren and his ghost is going to train her ...

    They would still film Hamill on the isle, but then ghost him out.

    That would be an interesting twist.

    I like this theory, but then the scene when we see Luke's hand on R2 must be a flashback (the only way possible in my opinion).

    That cloak appears different than the leaked image of his full jedi garb, so it was assumed this shot is from the flashback sequence (plus R2 isn't with Luke the entire movie and it is unclear if R2 goes with Rey to Skellig at the end of the movie - it says only Rey climbs the steps)

    Considering new characters etc. are being introduced, I don't think there will be a big reveal until at least Episode VIII - just like the OT.
