If we go back to the whole Plagueis theory, it would be interesting if Plagueis killed off Driver's character because he was betrayed by Palpatine and now he trusts nobody.

 

I think that whole thing of Kylo Ren chasing after young force sensitives is because Maybe-Plagueis wants to inhabit the body of a powerful force sensitive and Rey is the most powerful one of her generation.

 

I swear you could just take out Kylo Ren's name and drop Drako Malfoy in there and no one would notice.
Main characters peer secretly doing dark stuff. Follows the orders of a higher power that stays back.

This is why I buy Oscar Issac saying fan theories are off. I think they came up with better material.

 

You can not trust Kyle if you want, but he is one of the reasons I joined the Cantina. I'm glad to see him posting again and I'm sure his mistake was very troubling for a guy who does his best to give accurate information. Him and King are two of the best sources we have here, outside of Viral of course

 

No hard feelings towards him or it at all. I just think it's off. He said it's friend of a friend type info so its possible it could be off. I'm sure he wouldn't completely disagree.

I had a speculation on Boyega.. Not sure if it was ever mentioned.. But what if he was in that stormtrooper outfit cause he was on an undercover mission similar to Han and Luke in a new hope, but he gets caught a flees. Any thoughts?

I actually like this better than him going "rogue" on the empire. I feel like if you are a storm trooper, you don't just betray the empire so easily (although it could be more of a challenge than I think considering the movie isn't even out yet lol).

 

I don't favor it because I think it's a tired and overused plot device which keeps good guys and bad guys one dimensional. I really seen an opportunity to humanize the empire and hope they don't blow it.

Besides if Driver really was in that rebel outfit I think we are beginning to make things too complicated for the average viewer

 

Couldn't agree more. This was part of my reasoning behind not liking the idea of Kylo being a double agent. People are claiming Gwen Christie was a double agent because she was possibly on the greenham commons set. Then you you've got Driver sneaking around as another empire operative. Then Boyega is posing as a storm trooper? Holy crap that's more spies than a bond movie!

 

Well he doesn't have to be a double agent to fall to the dark side or to be a Judas. I mean he could reach out to the enemies of the rebellion hoping to end the war and restore order. The freedom the New Republic doesn't offer the same stability.

Also there were times where actors played extras in the PT. Like the Jedi slaughter in AOTC. Jimmy Smitts, Portman, Lucas, the back street boys and others make cameos as Jedi. Perhaps some of the actors are running around as pilots or rebel cadets (explaining why we see possibly Boyega and GC in rebel fatigues).

 

Yeah I thought about that before. What if Driver was just riding on that transport in the background? I wouldn't say it's impossible.
