Biggest plot twist of Episode VIII

This probably wouldn't happen VIII, or probably not at all but a great twist and keeping with parallels...ring theories, etc in SW.

What if Kylo turned to the light to help Rey like his Grandpappy Anakin turned to the darkside to save Padme?

 

Anakin turned to the darkside for a noble purpose. For a true reversal, wouldn’t Kylo need to turn to the lightside for a shameful one. Not sure how that would exactly work, just sayin’.

 

No, not really. Anakin turned to the dark side for many reasons but mainly one built on a lie and vision that by doing so it turned out to be him that basically killed Padme.

Kylo could turn to the light helping Rey by seeing truth and rejecting Snoke's lies. Besides he struggles with it anyway.

 

Isn't that then effectively what happens in the end though? When Anakin rejects Palpatine in order to save his son?

The re-introduction of the Sith through a new character, perhaps Benecio's character? What if Snoke is NOT the big bad but is either working for a Sith or will be competing with a new Sith Lord?

+1, and he will then become the main protagonist (along with Rey, who will not turn out to be a Skywalker).

 

I actually like this a lot too. It reminds me a lot of ANH when Ben "tells" Luke about his father but leaves the full truth out. Always thought of this to maybe be another ANH parallel

 

I don’t know if I like that. Anakin was supposed to ‘destroy’ the Sith. I’m no fan of that prophecy plot nugget, but I’d hope the story group would at least keep true to it. There are never more than two Sith at a time and both died on the same day.

 

Personally I think the biggest reveal will come from what actually happened at the Jedi academy leading to Luke's exile. There's just so many loose threads just hanging there.. I think we'll get answers in a big way

 

Something related to Kylo Ren.

 

Kylo will never be the hero, even if he may help them at some point. I will not accept him as a hero after what he has done. This will never change.

 

I think it will be revealed that Rey is a descendant of Palpatine. When she finds out she was born of the dark side and hidden because everyone feared what she was capable of, she will fall apart and run away. That is why she's so powerful, why Luke is afraid to train her, and why Kylo appears to be in awe of her. She is the grandaughter of the most evil man in the galaxy and she will be freaked out and scared of her powers. Ren will be the only one who understands her feelings because he has struggled with is own destiny as well. An unlikely friendship will build between them and they will create a new Jedi order with different rules...not so black and white.

 

Maybe I am influenced by a emotional confrontation and death scene in EU Star Wars Republic issue #75, but I think there will be a big twist will be something concerning Kylo.

 

Snoke is a macguffin; Hux dispatches him and takes over the galaxy as Emperor.
extra absurdity points if Brendol's kitchen wench used to work at House Palpatine and, well, got around.


hey: you tell me why it was required that Hux be red-haired, blue-eyed, and speak with a British accent--or why Rax knew about and was determined to have this "useless" slip of a boy to rebuild as the Empire was falling. hahahaha

 

And his father appears and he is played by Brendan Gleeson and "together they will rule the Galxy as father and son."

 

hahahaha ~ yes! now i totally want Brendon Gleeson to play evil Force ghost Palpatine!

That would be quite the twist! Even Hux's cat Millicent wouldn't have seen that coming...
