yeeah! hopefully they are internally drooling over TLJ and want to give it to Johnson again. i'm getting great vibes from everything i've seen from EP8 thus far and it should be a much more fresh, original entry than TFA. thought it was going to be great from the start, TFA didn't impress and everything indicates as such.

Good call Captain! Wow, well if nothing else, Disney is at least keeping the development cycles interesting.

The 2018 spin off by Josh Trank was rumored to be on Boba Fett:

    wow......

So they brought in a second director to basically re-make Rogue One. Changing Directors mid-shoot on Han Solo. Had to scrap the Boba Fett movie. Now they've lost Trevorrow.........at what point do we need to questino Kennedy's leadership here?

    Those rumors were exaggerated.
Why, because some fans expect everything to work perfect? that is not how the movie business works and never worked.
You need guys to check it and pull the breaks if neccessary, just ask yourself how the fans would react to a half assed movie, where the director had all liberties.
Just letting things go their way is bad leadership not taking action.

They did not bring in a second director to completely re-work the ending to Rogue One? You can see clips of the original in the trailer the stucture CLEARLY changed a lot.

This way beyond things not working perfectly. She's lost 2 directors, replaced one late int he process and replaced one team int he middle of filming....that NEVER happens.

They changed the dish and the finalle and included Vader so what that isn't the 40 % those Hreporter people talked about and it doesn't change the ending. Krenic vs Erso people die plans go to rebllion.

Again, if the result sucks would you be saying: Oh it sucks, but I'm glad they went with the directors idea, that makes it easier to cope with a crappy movie.
Why not take the last exit?

And they changed the tone - remember all the "we needed it to be more Star wars" stuff.

Look any one of these situations is.......it happens. It just seems to happen a lot since Kennedy took over.

Not sure why more STar Wars stuff is an issue now.

It isn't her fault that she inherited a Company that didn't make movies in years, yet still she build it up in no time and made two very sucessful movies.
Directors that made those movies aren't complaining about her or Disney, just see the latest Empire article. It is easy to point fingers at her but maybe those directors that failed are not as innocent as it seems.

I think people put too much thought into this type of information. Movies change all the time. The OT went through many many changes, before we got what we did. However the difference is everyone knew George was the boss. King George Lucas I. Now its just a bunch of chiefs and no indians.

I'm saying it wasn't just "a couple scenes" or a change of location in the shooting.

But it is her fault that they keep having issues maintaining their creative hires.

Movies don't change directors that often.

& no internet. In today's world film companies can't hide stuff I mean imagine the amount of fan community's could have had with some of the great films of the past if they were subjected to the same level of scrutiny that today's blockbusters are.

The new star wars movies do. Lol. Its hard to find the right director for this type of movie. Id rather them change, than have a bad movie, or something un recognizable.

Well it seems that Kennedy has firmly established herself as the Chief. I'm actually glad that she tosses guys that don't follow her lead. It at least shows that she's concerned with how the movies turn out. But on the other side of the coin...she supposedly tossed George's treatments (bad move) and it could be read that she is squashing creativity and focusing on "remaking" the original trilogy for a modern audience (bad move).
Who really knows what's really going on? I just wish they'd get George back in some capacity. He ads an air of legitimacy that I feel has been lacking since the sale.

That's exactly right. If we had the internet and twitter during the filming of the OT, it would have been a drama in itself.

I still say get Martin Scorsese to direct it. He can put Harvey Keitel in as Han Solo's brother, who seeks revenge, by infiltrating the FO and killing KR in front of everyone. That would be cool.

again a change isn't bad. But she's changed directors during production twice, lost multiple directors and lost a movie because of one of those losses. Why are you pretending this is all normal?
