SPECULATION Crazy Theory about Uber

First let me apologize if this should be incorporated into a different thread. Also, I apologize if this is not a new theory and for the length.

The theory...

What if Uber (at least currently) only resides in Kylo's mind? I could imagine this happening in a couple different ways and will point to some evidence to support this.

1. Uber may actually be some disembodied spirit of the force "awakened" recently that can speak to Kylo and Kylo is doing his bidding and attempt to fully resurrect him.

2. Uber may represent some ancient sith that Kylo is imagining, but still is working to resurrect.

Now for the (flimsy) evidence...

MSW reports that Kylo's room has a codename of the "padded room." It's also reported in one scene that he is possibly talking to the helmet of Darth Vader. What if he has done research on another ancient sith and also "talks" with them? Who else typically reside in padded rooms? Maybe crazy people who can have multiple personalities or talk to invisible people?

MSW also reports that Kylo is reluctant to use the super weapon and "Uber" tells him not be "so sentimental". This sounds like the sort of argument one might have with themselves before doing something like this.

There were some rumors that Serkis was playing 2 characters, but this was later confirmed to be only one. It was also rumored that maybe Serkis voices Kylo, but this was thrown out because it was supposedly confirmed (couldn't find this) that Serkis is doing a MoCap character. This theory could fit all of these. If Serkis is another Kylo personality he could be a voice and also the embodiment of Uber. This would also why it looks like two characters but it is actually only one. (I'm thinking this could loosely be something like Green Goblin/Willem Defoe in Spider-Man)

It was rumored that Uber is a Zombie-like in appearance...as someone might picture a long "dead" ancient sith.

Only two characters so far are reported to interact with Uber, Kylo and "The General". I wonder if the General could just be interacting with Kylo instead. Either because he believes Kylo is Uber or he believes Kylo is channeling Uber.

Now to get a little crazier...

What if this Kylo is creating "Uber" to act as a father figure in his life since he doesn't have one *cough* Han *cough*? Maybe in his quest to be more like Vader he knows he needs a Sith Master and he is working to revive an ancient one who can both be his master and father.

So what do you think? I'm not sure how much I believe it myself, but it's fun to speculate and think outside the box a bit.

 

I guess my thinking was that he could still show up as an actual character that Kylo talks to. So they would still have an "Uber" in the scene and Serkis would still play him. He just isn't in an animate form yet. Though I certainly concede the whole scenario is unlikely.

 

Ha, that's interesting. I never even thought about the Gollum connection, though now that you mention it, it does seem very similar.
