    The vision with Kylo and the Knights might be while Luke is away.

    Then in the vision and the second angle of the same shot from the trailer show Luke kneeling next to R2 looking at the destruction after the fact.

    It might also be that Snoke was there battling Luke while the knights slaughtered padawans.

    That's the great thing about treachery. It allows the weaker opponent a situational advantage that an open fight they would lose. So strike while Luke is off world, tied up and so on.

    From the Vanity Fair article:

    So, it is almost certain that Luke (or R2, not a bad idea) has the lighsaber, because if he doesn't - that requires a whole other story. Will he use it? If he is forced and cannot deal with whatever problem/enemy by using the Force alone.

    I am certainly hoping - if not in The Last Jedi than in IX. #ignitethegreen (green)
