Does Snoke have a lightsaber ??

i'd love this!!! not sure about the Plagueis part.. but i'd definitely be down for a Nihilus type character/power.

 

Glad you like the idea; as for my mention of Plagueis, I did not meant that Snoke would be Plagueis, but rather that Snoke, like Plagueis and perhaps through knowledge of his teachings, has control over life to a varying degree.

 

I don't think he has one because he seems to be similar to palpatine where he uses the force to show how powerful he is...I wouldn't be surprised if he's even using he force to control Ben's mind

is it canon that Kylo made the cross-guard lightsaber?
is it not possible that it's Snoke own lightsaber and letting Kylo 'use' it was part of his seduction to the dark side?

if you imagine a scene where Snoke turns on Kylo.. and rips the saber away from him using the force. This would further Kylo's conflict if that weapon is not his own and another force user is able to take it from him.. like Rey did with anakin's saber.

Something tells me that at some point, Anakin's saber will be 'in the room' in a life/death moment for Kylo in a repeat of the TFA scene where he tried to pull it to him.

I don't think Kylo will come back to the light. He will become more evil and ruthless as rumors about a fight and injuring of Rey suggests.

 

quite possible.. nearly every element of this new trilogy is up in the air. it's great, and also insanely annoying that we don't know where our new characters will end up.

@nightangel do you think it's possible that the cross guard lightsaber is in fact Snoke's personal weapon?

 

that's possible (despite that I remember reading that Kylo constructed the crude saber) and maybe even Snoke did once wear the mask that Kylo is now wearing.

i remember early rumors that the red crystal may have come from Vader's lightsaber.

to me it would make sense that when Snoke turned young Ben.. he would have given him the whole Kylo Ren persona - the name, the mask and the lightsaber. this is what you look like, this is what you use, this is your name... this is who you are now.

 

until now there is no description in any canon novels when and how exactly Kylo/Ben constructed it, so your scenario is still possible.

 

I think Snoke does have one, and he was using it against Luke when he took a real hard hit to the head from our favorite green Jedi weapon and that is why he really wants Luke so bad. Not just to prevent the rise of the new Jedi, but for good old fashioned revenge.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Luke left him for dead, just like Obi Wan left Anakin on Mustafar.

 

Man, it could have been a great battle to see, Luke injuring Snoke in a saber fight. We have probably missed a huge encounter. Too much stories to tell between VI and VII.
