SPECULATION Huge Theory About Episode IX & The Last Jedi

    Dash Star is almost never wrong when it comes to predicting/analyzing the direction of the Star Wars saga.

    This is a potential HUGE spoiler as it is likely 99.9% true, which is why I prefixed it as a spoiler and not speculation. I say that because the evidence is so compelling and in depth.

    Also was going to actually post this in the Ep 9 thread but unfortunately the Episode 9 thread did not have the prefixes available to classify it as a rumor/spoiler.

    When I say this is a huge spoiler, I MEAN IT. I myself will still enjoy the saga, even up to 9, and knowing the information. Again, however this covers spoilers thru 8-9. It gives you the direction SW is going.

    I might dig this back up in the event that I'm terribly tired and will probably forget the contents in the future; was a big fan of his for a while before he started using thumbnails including major spoilers (which I believe he has righted, but I have yet to subscribe to him once again).

    I must ask, though: is it cited in the video of this based on his own ideas/theories, or "leaks"?

    It is more his own theory than leaks. And the tumbnail is misleading in my opinion. Not a huge fan of mr. dashstar.

    No offense but you have to work on your thread titles. You often use (kinda) clickbait like titles for your threads.

    But back to the actual topic:
    First of all I enjoy watching Dash's videos (even though he started using spoiler thumbnails and titles). But saying that "he is almost never wrong when it comes to predicting/analyzing the direction of the Star Wars saga." is just wrong. That's not the case. He was often wrong about TFA or Rebels.

    The video itself is interesting, even though this topic isn't new. But after all I do think LF/Disney will refine the Jedi and the force itself.

    It's based on his own and others' speculations.

    His own theories based on the evidence, which is compelling.

    He is taking the information Disney gives and essentially putting the puzzle together.

    I find it too compelling to ignore.

    What he's saying is NOTHING new. GL said something similar either when he sold Disney or before cannot remember or where that quote is but i will find it. No matter, this guy is speculating and using old ideas scavenging through old things like Rey through old Star Destroyers. Also Rebels has kinda established gray and so on and so on...

    Well the title was not meant to be clickbait. I used hyperbole to stress the importance, and likelyhood this is indeed, a spoiler. Based on the evidence given, he has formulated a summary of Episodes 8-9, and right so IMO. Of course, this is mere conjecture at this point, but based on what is provided I would say indeed this is where Ep 8-9 is taking us.

    As far as him not being wrong, I was speaking from my own persepctive. Admittedly I have not watched every video of his, but when I did watch, he was generally in the vicinity of being correct.

    True. Its not new. But I find it interesting he is taking the information and forming a synopsis of Ep 8-9, which indeed I believe he has accurately projected where the Saga is going.

    Though maybe not a spoiler in the strictest of senses, but with a high level of probability!

    Ofcourse I am hugely biased, because (without knowing more than half of his 'evidence' - note to self: finish watching seasons 2 & 3 of Rebels!!) this is what I have been advocating since I joined a week and a half ago!
    It simply is the most logic and logical step to make!

    Altho I think that this isn't a spoiler, it is a theory that has a high likelihood of happening. Isn't Luke already leaning toward the grey side of the force anyway by the end of ROJ?

    Um.... this video really doesn't reveal anything. He goes on and on about grey which is odd after Pablo's grey Jedi rant from a couple of weeks ago. Also, he keeps talking about Disney. Disney isn't calling any story shots for the new trilogy.

    Also, for all of Dash Star's claims, including using The Last Jedi as a tool in his theory. He misses an obvious "seeding" comment from snoke



    if skywalker returns...the NEW JEDI will rise.

    New Jedi means actual jedi. There is no such thing as a "grey jedi", they cease to be Jedi. Rey is a "new jedi" but still means she's a jedi.

    Possibly, but he could easily mean "a new group reformed from the Jedi!" But because Kylo Ren was already conflicted in his feelings and needed to focus on his task, Snoke thought it wiser not to inform him fully!
    It was a subjective description to inform him enough to make the importance of his mission clear, but to keep some details ambiguous! As has been done by both Sith and Jedi so many times before...

    There may not be gray Jedi, meaning you follow the Jedi way or you don't, there is no kind of, but that does not mean that the Jedi way cannot be refined. So I can see Pablo's tweets and Dash's theory coexisting.
