    Ok, but like I said; It doesn't need to be art specifically for ep8. They always make more art in advance and use it for something later. It happened before and it sure will happen again. I'm betting they even have everything covered including ep9 if not even more. When you know the saga will go on, you make sure you have enough materials, and I don't doubt they have it plenty.

    Yes, he will wear a mask some of the time.
    1. Mask merchandise sales.
    2. He has facial scarring from his fights with Finn and Rey.
    3. Baddies always wear masks in SW. :)

    I just saw the movie twice this weekend but I wonder if I missed something. An article I was reading this morning mentioned Kylo Ren got that nice scar on the right side of his face along with his left hand cut off. Did I miss something or is this article in error?

    I really hope he doesnt in all honesty. Dont get me wrong, when he wore the helmet he looks very menacing and insanely awesome! However the scenes without the helmet blew me away! teh expression, emotion, pain & anger I felt from Drivers performance deserves a standing ovation (He got one from me) such a perfect character to me so I hope he hasnt got the helmet now the scar gives him the badass visual look instead of the helmet.

    I believe he'll definitely have it. I also want to find out why it was so heavy. They made a point of showing off it's weight both times he took off his mask.

    Great art! I hadn't seen this before because I was not looking at spoilers. I imagine though that they transferred some of that character's feel to Snoke.

    Yeah as much as I thought ALL of the new people did a great job, Adam Driver was the best in my book. His scenes with the mask on were still super powerful just though voice and body language, but when he had the mask off those were the best scenes of the movie for me. They made him look younger than I imagined for this movie. I expect that to be a big contrast when we see him scarred up in Ep 8.

    I am really hating Kylo Ren but Adam's performance was great. I do think he will wear the same mask (maybe will have a replacement lol) but it's marketing placement for Disney to keep the villain's appearance.

    nope.
    wont be the same mask.
    scar on the face - maybe styled same as anakin in ep 3?
    maybe new mask altogether...

    snoke will 'complete his training.. the same as plapatine did for anakin...
    also kylo left the mask behind..

    the mask was the thing that shielded him from his inner conflict - when he confronted his father he was seen to be conflicted - but because those feelings were hidden underneath that mask... without the mask.. its all shown...

    fear leads to anger - he fears his father, more so.... he fears the light.... but it forces him to be angry...
    anger leads to hate - well.. yeah he hates him... he hates all he is... hates how he was left behind...
    hate leads to suffering... leia.. rey.. chewie.. even kylo... and han of course being dead and all...

    i still say it mirrors the father trying to kill the son...
    this time the son kills the father and shows the path luke could have taken if hed killed mr vader...
    hmm..

    Hello once again Cantina. I was watching Collider Jedi Council today (
    ) and they touched upon something I feel is very intriguing. When Kylo Ren Drops his mask on the catwalk during the epic confrontation with his father Han Solo, this is the last time in the movie we see his mask (I'm going to miss that mask; it was so cool, if indeed we don't see it again that is). As we all know, that scene took place on Starkiller base and Starkiller base was subsequently destroyed by the Resistance, thus we can safely assume that the mask went down with the ship so to speak. If this turns out to be true and the Kylo's mask was destroyed, he will IMO definitely construct a new one. As one of the Collider Jedi Council members also pointed out, Kylo may just take Vader's old helmet and reconfigure it, reconstruct it, trick it out, chrome it out etc. etc.. If he does do this (OMG I hope he does rebuild it so it's almost the same but not quite/chrome), what would you like to see as far as the new design? Or if he just makes a brand new one from scratch, what type of helmet would you like to see? It was also mentioned on the show that Rey may have damaged Kylo's saber. I'm personally not convinced on this one but if he does build a new saber to go along with his new helmet, what style of saber would you like to see him wield? I can't wait to read everyone's thoughts on this one.

    I think it would be a tad hard to wear Vader's helmet in any way whatsoever .

    What I was stating above is that if Kylo takes the helmet and works on it. He heats it up bends it back into shape as much as possible and adds to it so that it's a mix of Vader's old helmet and something new. Think in terms of a costume designer or a concept artist.

    I thought wearing that kind of mask is just something that all Knights of Ren do? And he is the MASTER of Ren- so he will stick to that design.

    I see it being very possible that he either constructs a newer one, or restores the burnt Vader helmet, like you said earlier. Trimmed with chrome? Wow. Especially if it a part of his facial cybernetics. I am not sure if we see that in Episode 8 though. I don't see him losing to a good guy in the next movie. There is a possibility of whatever good is left in him may get smoked out of him by some Sith lightning (compliments of Snoke) in Episode 8 that causes some more facial problems. I think going into Episode 9, is where we see the full transformation to all-out Vader redux.

    Yea with some of those vader variations that the Knight of Ren have, I think it would be really cool to see him sport the original. We shall see. (dark)
