Thinking outside the box: (Hypothetical) Perhaps Darth Vader is returning. Maybe Kylo Ren will wear a new version of his grandfathers Vader outfit?

 

Believe me...With that cut that Rey makes to Kylo face HE will use that mask more.If he have had the mask on that will NEVER happen.What a mistake....

last time i watched the movie, it struck me how resignedly he dropped it on the bridge (in contrast to planting it so firmly in the ashes in the interrogation scene). he loves it. he hates it. it's made his life a misery.

to say nothing of his astronomical FO chiropractor bill.

 

Kylo Ren is definitely NOT going to have the same kind of mask in Episode VIII. I know that is being really blatant, but it is not going to happen. It would be nice to see him bandaged or scarred well in the next movie and make him look even more evil and sinister. I think he may even be a little insane because he let someone finally beat him and he is mentally unstable because he wants to be even more powerful. I am actually scared of a post-TFA Kylo Ren because he is going to be so powerful and I would even go as far to venture into saying he will kill a lot of people in the next movie.

 

It'd be disappointing if he changed looks honestly. One, it's just a cool design. And two, one of the reasons why Vader became so iconic was his look. It didn't really change much, minus some minor aesthetical alterations that many people probably wouldn't even notice.

 

Ya know, I thought of that a while ago myself. I think if that's the case, it would be a way (maybe even a cop out) to carry on Vader "for the fans" but id like to see a slightly upgraded armor...maybe have more streamlined lenses for his mask that are reminiscent of the new FO troopers, have his armor have more moving parts so he can be more flexible, and have the top half of his helmet flare like Phasma's helmet and maybe make it shinier ...

They could very well look BACK ago one of his Ramey concepts for a new helmet or, as many of us think:, simply get s back up helmet form his bedroom .

Kylo seems like the type who would be cray cray over a tiny blackhead that no one but himself would ever see so wearing a helmet would look more "perfect" to him .

 

Now that we've seen Kylo's face, I think he should have no more than half a mask. As great a job as Driver did with the mask on, he really shone when we could see his facial expressions. I'm positive we will get to see him massless again, I just hope it's more than last time.

 

if Snoke "trains" Ren up, he might take on a "reborn" persona and some adjustments to his costume might reflect that. hopefully, if that's the case, they will be minor as you said.

i mean, he's got that fancy new scar and all ~ maybe that's enough.

i hope he keeps the mask for stomping around among the troops and for going into combat (if he'd had it on in the first place, he wouldn't have gotten his face cut up, so it makes sense to wear it). but yeah, otherwise, for general conversation scenes, etc. he should lose it.

 

Oh, yeah. I guess he did, didn't he? I forgot about that.

If you ask me, he's infinitely scarier with the mask off. He looks and sounds like a serial killer/rapist. I almost thought he was gonna...you know...do things to Rey.

 

ooo I like the idea of Snoke giving him a new helmet for completing his training, a reward for killing Solo.
