Thanks! “Ridiculous” could be a quality for itself. ‘Peter Rabbit’ hasn’t arrived in our cinema yet, waiting on standby.

Last Tuesday it was ‘Wonder’, which I liked quit a lot.
Tomorrow will be ‘Darkest Hour’.
The next babysitter date then is Tuesday the week after, so ‘Black Panther’ still have to wait.

 

Doing my Marvel Cinematic Universe marathon for Avengers: Infinity War LOL.

Yesterday I re-watched Thor (already seen recently Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2) and today it will be Captain America: The First Avenger!

Hopefully this week I can make it to the movie theatre to see Black Panther!

 

i admit the thing with the allergies may be the worst/lowest beat of the film.
i definitely had a moment cringing: oh my God, did they really just do that? not okay.
fortunately it gets glossed over pretty quick and they move on.
and fortunately a point of the film is that none of this, really, is okay.

 

Thor Ragnarok.

Black Panther

Had a great time watching this movie. I am in love with the Shuri character and Letitia Wright who plays the role (what a great actress).
Great villain, sollid soundtrack, Andy Serkis, Loved the fight in South-Korea, ...

Some of the visual effects where sometimes off (when Black Panther & Killmonger fall into the mine while fighting looks fake, ...) and overall BP choreografie was better in CA3.

 

Black Panther, can't wait to see BP lead the troops in Infinity War! Forget Goofy Finn, T'challa Black Panther is the man!

Its good but not perfect like allot of Star Wars films.

Darkest Hour

What a great movie. What a performance by Gary Oldman. For me, he deserves the Oscar for best Actor.

 

I will see it tonight - really looking foreward to Oldmans embodiment of Churchill!

Just got done watching one of my favorites from back in the day.... The Manhattan Project (1986)



Christopher Collette was great but for some reason after this movie his career seemed to take a pretty large downturn. Maybe he focused on school afterward or something but this would appear to be his last role in a major film and he mainly did TV guest spots afterward. The only thing of his I've seen after Manhattan Project was that made-for-TV adaptation of The Langoliers.

 

‘Darkest Hour’ yesterday evening – what a great movie it was! Gary Oldman’s performance is outstanding indeed. And it’s kind of spooky to be reminded how the history of Europe and the rest of the world could had developed if not for Winston Churchill standing up against his own party to never give way to the menace of Hitler.

And ‘Director Orson Krennic’ made a nice King George VI.

Now I’m looking forward to see our beloved ‘General Hux’ going against Peter Rabbit.

 

War for the Planet of the Apes

I re-watched this movie on blu-ray and it reminded me of how much i loved this movie when i saw it in theaters (saw it the day before it opened in a marathon with Rise & Dawn).

The visuals are amazing, Andy Serkis gives a great performance, ...

 

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb and A Fantastic Woman. The latter one is a really good Chilean drama about a trans woman dealing with the death of her lover and all the events that pursue with a great lead performance and gorgeous cinematography. The former is a fantastic comedy about a nuclear war. Watch out! It contains "silly humour..." and a small role played by James Earl Jones.

 

I'd really like to see how movie tastes align for those who like TLJ and those who do not. If tastes extend beyond TLJ and into other films.

 

Just saw wonder woman for the first time tonight...I'M IN LOVE!!!!
