Red Sparrow, a sometimes predictable movie, but I enjoyed it. I loved the scènes between Lawrence & Schoenaerts (who played her uncle), they had a great chemistry and both of them delivered the best acting performances in the movie.

Annihilation great film though it got a little weird at the end.
It's just a shame I never got to watch this at the cinema but had to settle for watching it at home :(.

JUSTICE LEAGUE! I thought it was pretty good. It's not the Avengers, but I don't think its as bad as some have claimed. Loved Wonder Woman! The Flash was funny. Aquaman reminded me of Thor, but that was fine. Cyborg was cool, I just wished there was more of him. Batman was a lot calmer this time. Superman's return was O.K. I like the fact that he asked Batman "Do you bleed?" The CG wasn't that bad, however I was watching a DVD and not in the theater. All in all, I thought it was an enjoyable film. I'm sure fans had their reasons for bashing it. I admit beyond TV series and movies of the 70's and 80's, I have only read a few DC comics, but as a "casual" viewer I have enjoyed all the new DC films from Batman Begins through Justice league...with the exception of Death Squad.:D

Tomb Raider. It is silly, it is clichéd, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. :D

The Shape of Water. Great film with a fantastic cast probably my second favourite Del Torofilm after Pan's Labyrinth.

    Rooster Cogburn (1975)

Rewatched the 1975 movie Rooster Cogburn with John Wayne as the title character. John Wayne does a great job, but Katherine Hepburn is unbelievable good in this movie as Eula Goodnight.

True Grit was the better movie, but i really enjoyed watching this one again.

HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE. It's Taika Waititi film so it's a bit of the wall but I really enjoin but the Sam Neill is always a great watch.

In the movie theatre: Black Panther. It's really good, and the soundtrack is quite good too.

At home: Avengers: Age of Ultron. (Yeah someone is doing a marathon before Avengers Infinity War is released. Almost done with Phase Two!!!)

The last movie I've watched was the new Tomb Raider adaptation. It was okay I guess. Nothing special, but much better than the last video game movie I've watched (Assassins Creed).
If you like action and a simple story, then Tomb Raider is the right choice for you.

One thing I really enjoyed though was the action sequence with the bikes. This was really well made.

I think the problem with video game movies, is well the medium itself. It's fun to play, but not necessarily fun to watch and vice versa. I'm a huge AC fan, I just finished the main quest for The Curse of Pharaohs dlc for AC: Origins. Is it worth a digital rent?

Video Game movies can never offer the control or massive in depth story a game does. It's silly they keep trying.
If you want to do a video game movie right, don't pay attention to the "game stuff" outside of core concepts.
Just write a good action adventure movie then put Lara Croft in it.
Just write a good assassin movie then layer on some AC stuff.

Yep I was disappointed with AC, enjoyed the games series but was worried when a movie was in the works.

Unsane is a very solid horror with an interesting camerawork and some great performances, especially by Claire Foy and Joshua Leonard. Soderbergh is on a hot streak right now, with Logan Lcky also getting good reviews and his third recent film already done shooting. And not so long ago he told everyone he's retiring from directing...
