Rewatched Blade Runner 2049 on Blu-ray.

I really liked this movie, now, the second time i saw it, even more than the first time. I love the visuals, the cinematography, the acting, ...
The movie still is to long in my eyes and i still didn't like the music.

Finally, finally, FINALLY saw Black Panther last night! I came out later where I am than in the U.S. I really liked the movie! But I'm not sure if it's ready to be in my Tier 1 of Superhero Movies yet. I need to see it again.

Charade. This film is pure fun. The performances, the story, the mystery - everything about this film is a pure blast. Also, the opening credits are a true marvel:

    The Thing (1982)

Probably my second favorite movie ever after TESB and I'm reading Alan Dean Foster's novelization for the first time so I put the movie on for the millionth time.

I'm not quite sure how to rate your post.....you are talking about the 1982 version of The Thing, right?

Yes, I said in the post it was the '82 version and the picture is of the cast from the original. The prequel was horsecrap.

Just rewatched Hail, Caesar! for the first time since the premiere. Why did it disappoint me? This film is a joy to watch. Alden Ehrenreich is just cute, Josh Brolin nearly made me cry just by talking to his in-film wife about his children and it's so funny. Also, Channing Tatum doing a Gene Kelly-esque made me simply happy.

    Spider-Man: Homecoming

Rewatched this one on blu-ray yesterday. What a great, fun movie. For me, it's the 3th best Spider-Man movie (after Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man (2002)).

    Great film.

This movie is actually in the public domain, due to a copyright gaffe when it was released.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie. I have the Blu Ray but this is an extended/fan edit I found on originaltrilogy.com with lots of stuff that was cut out by the studio. Now it's actually feature length as opposed to actually being shorter than one of the TV episodes.

You Were Never Really Here. A gutpunch of a movie with a great, mostly silent performance by Joaquin Phoenix. A horrifying look at domestic abuse.

I'll give you a clue - it featured Padme, Poe Dameron, Ensign Goode, a First Order General and a character called Ventress.

No, this was not a Star Wars franchise fan film fever dream; I watched Annihilation. And it was very good. Slow, heady sci-fi; indeed probably the best *original* science fiction movie I've watched since Under the Skin (hence why I didn't mention BR2049 or TLJ since they were already part of established franchises). Shame this hasn't had a wider release because it's utterly deserving of it. Hope it gets a home release soon so I can give help them recoup some of the money that went into this lovely film that's sadly been a financial failure... which after the glorious Blade Runner 2049's cinematic belly-flop takes away even further dreams of long, slow, intelligent sci fi reaching the cinema these days.

Very jealous you got to see this. I have to wait until April.

Annihilation deserved so much better than what Paramount did to it.
    So much better.

Paramount is a bad studio and they are dumb that is why it is on Netflix for you lol.
Test audiences said it was a smart movie and that doesn't play for everyone so Paramount panicked and sold the international rights to Netflix.
It was only given a theatrical release in the US, Canada and China.

    Wait, it's on Netflix already?

I thought it was still in theatres. That's crazy, I know what I'm doing tonight!

Only if you live outside of North America and China.
If you live in one of those places, you still have to see it in theaters.
