The Good, The Bad and The Ugly its my favorite. But the second one its hard to decide because I love For a Few Dollar More too.
Sergio Leone was the master of westerns.

For a Few Dollar More is a classic. I prefer it over the good the bad and the ugly. The ending is a master class in film making. To make 6-7 minutes of three guys standing around be so impactfull is true skill.

I watched Hawk the Slayer again the other night. Truly the greatest of all the bad movies. Every element of that movie is bad to terrible but comes together into one great fun movie.

I've seen this week Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018) and a Korean heist action-comedy The Thieves (2012).
Sicario 2 is good and strong, but it does lack some of the "punch" and disturbing imagery from the first.
Thieves is a good fun movie with a lot of interesting characters, but it does play with the characters in a way, that will be a bit hard to follow if you need to root for somebody.

That's one of the more... unique adaptations I have ever seen. It basically takes out one of the two book's main plotlines (about the Dumas club and a search for a chapter from the "Three Musketeers") and builds everything else about the second one. Still a good movie, though.

First Man. Yet another astronaut movie (we've got quite many of them in recent years) and yet another one I like. I love how it looked like a late 1960's newsreel and the space sequences were an absolute masterclass of directing and editing. The story takes some liberties with the actual events but it works in the context of the film, so I'm not complaining. Yeah. Go watch it, especially if you like Interstellar or The Martian.

Goosebumps - Was on TV last night and had never seen it. I thought it wasn't too bad. But the cgi wasn't too great.

Uncle Drew - It had some laughs and that's about all I can say. It was just okay

Skyscraper - Just The Rock trying to save his family. Over the top action and nothing new really. It was entertaining to a point, but kinda bland. If you want action and nothing else then this is it. No real chemistry.

Eighth Grade - This one was probably the best out of what I watched this weekend. Very relatable about an awkward and introverted teen girl(although I am not a teenage girl. But I was a teen boy once) going through her last week in 8th grade before going to High School. It reminded me how I kinda was in ways. It was well made and I think most anyone could relate to this one. Worth watching.

Saw The Endless last night, a smart little indie thriller-SciFi-horror thing of the Lovecraftian flavor, and it was GREAT! :) I highly recommend this one.
Hint: Don't go back to the death cult you escaped from as a teenager!

    Karloff's THE MUMMY.
It's a shame Universal has squandered the horror rights for so long

Silence of the Lambs. Seen it for the first time and I'm not sure why. It is such a satisfying film to watch with great leads, cinematography and a smart script. Hollywood needs to make more thrilles in general, especially female-driven ones. Thankfully, Widows is coming out in three weeks (an excited squak)!

Oh, @Pawek_13, I envy you your youth with all the great entertainment and art you're discovering :) I feel I'm partially reliving my youth vicariously through you here on the forum; sorry about that, brother ;)

Red Dragon is also very good, although it isn't as popular. It has one of the best casts ever assembled :)

Fun story about Silence of the Lambs.
I rented this when I was like 12. Well, I got my cousin to rent it for me at least. And being a horror fan from a very young age he saw no issues with it regardless of what my parents thought. This scared the hell out of me as a kid. Partially because at 12 not everything is making complete sense given certain undertones. Then I read the book and good lord...

That said, Jodie Foster is a powerhouse in this and the final showdown with Buffalo Bill is AMAZING. Especially with the tension laden set up to it with the quick cuts.

If the world was a fair place, Bad Times at The El Royale would be doing pretty good dollar right now. Great chemistry between the leads (Cynthia Erivo will be the next big thing,) great aesthetic, gripping and surprisingly deep story, good score and lots of singing done by a Grammy winner. Go see it, you'll have good time! :)
