I agree, There may be a few unhunged characters, one of them being very much a "droid" or cyborg in disguise. But not Luke. Unless it's a fake Luke.

Yeah man, I mean would it be interesting to see it happen? Yeah sure, anything at this point is interesting. But seeing Luke as a Cyborg, not buying it at all, you're talking about the guy that single-handedly destroyed what was of the Empire in episode 6 and was what we were to believe the last Jedi remaining.

Him turning to the darkside to and being a Cyborg seems like a ginormous reach, the beard was grown for a reason, not to be hidden behind a mask.

    :)

And you are flatulent? Kidding, but your name makes my brain think of that word.

Yeah, it's definitely more Silence of the Lambs in space, that's for sure. Hard R rating, which means, would never happen... unless the spinoff films do so well, they create a set specifically for more adult subject matter. Likely branded Star Wars: (INSERT EDGY WORD) here.

Only thing that might be worse would be Chuck Norris jokes being replaced with Han Solo jokes...

Death had a near Han experience

In fact, in the Star Wars lore, Chuck Norris jokes are Kyle Katarn jokes

A "Cyborg" Luke scenario could happen if in the opening or prologue of TFA, Luke is seriously injured in a massive incident(the "ancient fear" weapon) then is turned into a Darth Vader like cyborg which drives him bat scat.
A similar character is the "Snake Eyes" commando in Marvel Comics GI Joe. He was a highly trained US Army Airborne Ranger in the MAC-V-SOG & a ninja(after his combat service). Snake Eyes had his face nearly blown off in a tragic helicopter crash. He later wore masks & a costume but wasn't evil. Snake-Eyes too was in "exile" following his injury until he was asked to join GI Joe.

Maybe the armour somehow mitigates the effects of his outbursts... which could be why there is a hunt for artifacts

Luke is a ticking time bomb. He may be the ultimate weapon everyone is after. Ironically, that's why he hid in the first place... to avoid tipping the scales one way or the other.

I think Kirra finds something, and she takes it upon herself to be responsible for it... after the bad guys try to steal it from her, she seeks out her uncle for help...

Oh wait, that's the plot to the other Pirate's Cove

    There's more... he knows something...

I do believe that some of the rumors may come from legit sources but are wrong info due to JJ's misinfo. Just look at Star Trek: Into Darkness. He flat out said that Khan wasn't the bad guy.
"There have been a number of names circulating over who exactly Benedict Cumberbatch is playing in the upcoming "Star Trek 2." And while it seems that Khan Noonien Singh has been dismissed, there is a new name in play: Gary Mitchell."
He even got the actors in on it. This is regarding Karl Urban:
"Urban talked a little bit about Cumberbatch on the set. 'He'e awesome. He's a great addition, and I think his Gary Mitchell is going to be exemplary,' Urban said."

So I don't see how JJ wouldn't do the same thing with what might be one of the most highly anticipated films, more-so than Star Trek: ID.

Well TECHNICALLY Khan wasn't the bad guy. He was the tool of the bad guy, Admiral Marcus.

Keep in mind just because someone noted Macaroni news in advance, doesn't inherently make them or their connection experts on the contents of the film.

I think this only proves he knows something about Kraft marketing. Those that know plot and those that deal with marketing are not intertwined that early.

Here is what I think based on when my Dad worked for Nabisco. He heard they were going to do star wars themed packaging in the next year. Nabisco, owned by Kraft, would tell employees of upcoming promotions. Knowing star wars promotion was coming he wisely decided the 4 most marketed characters would be used. Boom now speculation can be thrown in to be confirmed. I am not saying he's lying but it'd be easy to lie and use this marketing knowledge to make his lies seem legit.

He said Yoda would be one of them in another post. It's late January now so who knows if they had a schedule or if it was all at once. I have no idea.
