Also, Snoke is supposed to be this mysterious, ancient and powerful threat and if he was not force sensitive at some point, that sort of diminishes him.

Well, ancient as in he has been around since before the Clone Wars. Not millennia old ancient if that is what you had in mind.

Snoke is not a Sith, he hasn't been one for a long time.......
His last apprentice was a personal disappointment, so Snoke decided to reinvent the wheel.......
What Snoke had was what his apprentice didn't have: time, lots of it............
He bided his time beyond the veil where no one could find him.......
Imperial officers set out to search the source of the dark side.....
    What did they find?

    woooohooooohooooooo........woooohoooohooooo.........woooohoooloooohoooo [music...yes...music]

I can see this, people. What does Star Wars love if not a secret Father-Son Reveal. The practically invented the genre. Hux Sr. flees to Outer Limits, comes back "transformed" into Snoke, darkside badass.

I found this site due to traffic being driven to my youtube video! Thanks, Sirchris! Yes, I believe that Snoke is Brendol Hux and I go into great detail in the video here:

Like I said in the video, I'm likely wrong, but there's a lot of evidence...and Star Wars has a history of shocking reveals. I'm surprised by the amount of traction this has gotten since I uploaded it less than a week ago! It's been shared on several sites and I was even asked to go on the Rogue Won podcast to discuss. How cool is that? (episode 15 here, if you're interested: http://roguewon.podbean.com/)

Thanks for sharing and please give the video a watch - I spent about 2 months digging through the canon and pulled details from 6 books to come to this conclusion. Yes, there are some missing details, but we don't have the full story yet...Some crazy things could happen! :)

Doesn't mean anything because he would just kill his son otherwise ,

Ok. Sorry for the spoiler. A description of Brendol Hux by a fellow imperial about a year after Return of the Jedi.

''Hux is a big, blustering, ego-fed pig. Gone a bit to pasture, that one: His gut strains at his buttons, his neck is fat, and his firm jaw has gone soft with an unshorn patchwork of facial hair. He looks haggard, lost, angry. Occasionally he seems to remember that this is a dinner, then dives down into his meal with sudden gusto, shoveling food into his mouth once more.''

    Now I give you Snoke.

    Probably not the same person.

It may not be, but people can change according to what drives them. With the Empire gone, Brendol could have gone into am "ego-fed pig" state, but this was only a year after ROTJ. HE could have had a spark of something to turn him into what we know about Snoke

Yeah, something that turned him into a 7 ft tall ancient, force sensitive, non humanoid alien dude.

Exactly. I think it's a great theory but incredibly far-fetched.
