Official Captain Phasma TLJ Thread

Phasma like everything else in TFA was a set up, so I'm sure she survived somehow and is hanging out at Dexter Jettster's diner drinking a milkshake and waiting on a cab.

 

Are they really going to pretend she out-ran this in a metal box and survived?

 

Because she doesn't deserve to go out that way. A Finn/Phasma fight scene is what's coming next for sure.

 

I think I'm on topic, I supported the fact that she survived and didn't perish. I think that rating needs changed.

 

I'm glad we got that cleared up, it would be funny if she recounted to Finn how she escaped, smelly one for sure.

 

Given how casually she betrayed the First Order by lowering the shield, she will either have to flee the FO and become a rogue agent, or she was acting on Snoke's orders. Having used the weapon to wipe out the new republic, he willingly let it be destroyed because he doesn't really want either side to gain control, he only wants chaos and destruction. Or JJ Abrams just laid a big chrome egg.

 

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but the last option is the most likely one...

 

In Empire's end, Rax and Hux have command of an army of children who are bred as soldiers. I have zero doubt Phasma was the most vicious of these kids, rising through the ranks to become leader of the First Order's army. My question is how Grand Admiral Sloane factors in. Another question is how Thrawn slots in. The book mentions he was from the unexplored regions and was actually primarily responsible for leading the Empire to, presumably, Snoke. Are Thrawn and Snoke related, either by species or alliance?

 

I am definitely picking up the Phasma novel and comic day one. I have a feeling she is going to be epic in Last Jedi and I am dying to know her without a doubt interesting backstory.

 

She's certainly getting quite the media push... which is surprising, to be honest. Usually, these characters diminish in screentime after the first movie (e.g. Boba Fett). I hope she gets a meatier part in this movie, although the film is so crowded with new and returning characters (I'm assuming Kylo, Hux, and Snoke all have more substantial roles than in TFA), I wonder where the room is coming from?

i really hope they can redeem this character. she still has the potential to be awesome.

one of the things that the Aftermath books teaches us is that the First Order isn't all that it seems to be.
their loyalty, ultimately, may be in doubt. not only to Snoke, but to the order itself and each other.
i hope we come to find out Phasma gave up Starkiller because she just doesn't give a rat's patoot; perhaps there's something else she aspires to.

Liked the fact that Delilah Dawson is a big fan of Gwen Christie and Brienne of Tarth - and Brienne is a really good character from Game of Thrones so I hope they do justice and there is a reason she gave up Starkiller Base so easily. I guess in The First Order there is more than what meets the eye and they might have their own agenda - each of them, Kylo, Hux and Phasma.

 

i need to read that series
